Bot Elimination.
My Idea is to use multiple measures to make creating bots on this platform hard and expensive. I would hate to see that this company is allowing bot users to create bots to inflate user numbers. We should be aware of this kind of stuff as a community. Here are some things you guys could start working on for the better of the user community. can prevent bots from creating fake accounts by layering multiple defenses that make registration easy for real users but expensive or difficult for automated scripts. Free accounts don’t get ads when messaging premium accounts
When a free account clicks on a premium profile, the free account doesn’t receive ad pop-ups. This would enhance conversions for premium users and improve the overall app experience.

New idea for the app - toxic hookup culture
So many gay/lgbtq+ people, especially the younger ones are being subjectified to toxic hookup culture as soon as they are able to legally be on the app and grindr still uses the term dating app.
So I think that since there now is a right now section for hookups there needs to be a dating section for gay, bi and trans alike to date and not be forced into toxic hookup culture, especially with rising mental health issues amongst lgbtq+ individuals
How can we make our communities safe places if we are constantly forcing hookup culture and toxic behaviour down…1 vote -
Stop reducing functions for xtra
The functions of Xtra users are getting limited all the times!!! Now we cannot write unlimited profiles when using explore!!!

Gender Filter
There has been a huge influx of female-presenting accounts. Nearly all of them are only on Grindr to promote their OnlyFans pages. The majority of taps I get are from women in their mid-thirties. I have absolutely zero interest in women and I think it’s weird that they’re even allowed on Grindr. But, if they must stay, we deserve a feature that filters profiles by gender preference. I don’t want to see women (who are really just spam accounts) and I don’t want them to see me.

1) Work on the geolocation settings (i.e. allowing a set mileage radius and fix the grid to populate like it used to by distance)
2) Reward users for reporting spam/bot accounts.

Bring back AT LEAST one free explore chat
Being back free explore with 1 free profile unlock! This app is already buggy and hard to find people to connect with, we should be able to at least be able to view profiles in explore. The free version of this app isn’t even worth the effort anymore.
