Proposal for Implementing User Verification in Grindr

It is suggested to implement a user verification option in Grindr that includes the verification of the user's identity through the comparison of their face with the profile photo. This would be achieved by integrating a facial recognition technology.

   Verification Process:

   1. The user creates an account on Grindr and uploads a profile picture.

   2. The application asks the user to take a selfie to verify their identity.

   3. The selfie is compared to the profile photo using facial recognition technology.

   4. If the verification is successful, the user receives a verification stamp on his profile.

   5. If the verification fails, the user must provide more information or documentation to complete the verification process.

   Benefits:

   • Reduction of the number of fake profiles and scams in the application.

   • Improved security and user confidence.

   • Greater authenticity in interactions between users.

   Technologies Used:

   • Facial recognition through artificial intelligence and machine learning.

   • Integration with online identity verification services.

   Implementation:

   • It is required to develop the user verification function in the Grindr application.

   • Facial recognition technology must be integrated with the Grindr user database.

   • A clear and transparent verification process must be established for users.

2. Bots for additional income alongside your main job

I work full-time and have almost no time for charts, but I want to earn additional income from crypto without sitting at the terminal every day. I heard about Cryptorobotics signal bots — apparently, they trade themselves based on pro-team signals. Will there really be a stable profit in 2025-2026, or is this just marketing?

5. Platform-enabled addiction and chemsex culture causing severe community harm

Grindr was once a safer way to find each other. It replaced dangerous late-night cruising with digital connection. But the platform has evolved into something equally harmful: a space that profits from addiction rather than protecting the community it serves.

   The Problem:
Research shows Grindr users open the app 8.4 times daily, spending over 1.3 hours per day on the platform, with many active late into the night. More critically, Grindr ranked highest among all apps for making users unhappy, with 77% of heavy users reporting unhappiness. The app uses variable ratio reinforcement, the same psychological mechanism as slot machines, making compulsive use extremely difficult to control.
The intersection with chemsex culture is devastating. A 2023 study found that 54.4% of MSM PrEP users encountered illegal substances via dating apps, 44.2% were offered drugs for sale, and 22.6% increased their substance use because of app use. Another study found 10% of Grindr users were actively using meth, with 90% of those users holding premium subscriptions, suggesting the platform may profit directly from its most vulnerable users.

   A solution:
Implement a mandatory wellness break system:
   • Detection: If a user has been continuously active or logged in for more than 10 hours within a 24-hour period, trigger a mandatory 10-hour suspension
   • Purpose: Force a reset break to interrupt compulsive use cycles and chemsex binges that often last 12-24+ hours
   • Messaging: Frame it as community care: "You've been active for 10 hours. Take a 10-hour break to rest and reconnect with yourself. Your account will be available again at [time]."

   Why This Matters:
Users report spending 12, 24, or even more hours online nonstop during chemsex sessions. The platform's design, endless scrolling, push notifications, variable rewards, exploits psychological vulnerabilities rather than protecting users. Unlike slot machines, which are regulated for addiction potential, dating apps face no such oversight.

Grindr claims to care about the community. Prove it. This isn't about reducing engagement, it's about ethical responsibility. A user forced to take a break is a user who survives to return tomorrow.

   Additional measures to consider:
   • Partner with harm reduction organizations for resources during suspension screens
   • Allow users to voluntarily set lower limits (5-hour max sessions with 5-hour breaks)
   • Provide addiction resource links in the app

The community is dying. Grindr can either be part of the solution or continue profiting from the problem.

7. Allow full profile view from Interest tab

When you look at the profile of someone who viewed you through the Interest tab you only get to see the first section of their profile. You have to click on chat and then their profile again to see the whole thing. That's ridiculous. Enable viewing the whole thing any time you select a user profile. Pretty basic functionality.

10. Best Face Swap AI Online

Best Face Swap is an online tool that lets you replace faces in digital media using various AI models. It works for creators and developers who need to swap identities in photos, videos, or GIFs without losing the original expressions. The platform addresses the technical challenge of keeping a face consistent across moving frames and different camera angles.
The site organizes its workflows by specific intent, including dedicated sections for group photos and uncensored content. While the interface and landing pages are live, the actual generation API is currently in a reserved state. This allows users to browse examples and prepare their workflows before the full processing engine opens for public use.https://bestfaceswap.io/

11. Request Better Album Controls

I’d like to suggest a few improvements to the album and video features:
    1. Allow longer videos – The current video length limit feels too short. It would be great if users could upload longer videos.
    2. Multiple videos in one album – Please allow adding more than one video inside the same album, instead of limiting it to a single video.
    3. Permanent album timer setting – Currently, every time I share an album, I need to manually set the viewing time again. It would be much better if we could set a default album viewing time once in settings, so it doesn’t need to be adjusted every time we send an album.

These changes would really improve user experience and make sharing content smoother and more convenient.

Thank you for considering this request.

13. Implementation of a "Fixed-Radius Privacy" Toggle

Feature Request - Custom Visibility Range (Hard Radius Limit)
Subject: Feature Request: Option to limit profile visibility to a specific radius only
    Hi,
I’d like to propose a privacy feature that allows users to set a Hard Visibility Radius.
    The Problem:
Currently, even if we are in a specific location, our profiles can often be seen by users from other cities or distant areas who are using "Explore" features or have long-range search capabilities. This can be a privacy concern when you want to be visible only to the immediate community around you.
    The Proposal:
A feature where a user can toggle a "Local Visibility Only" mode. You would define a specific radius (e.g., 2km, 5km, or 10km).
How it works: If someone is outside of that chosen radius, your profile simply will not appear in their grid or search results, regardless of their subscription level or filters.
The benefit: If I am traveling or working in a different city (e.g., in Campinas) and I only want to interact with people in that specific area, I can ensure that people from my hometown (e.g., São Paulo) cannot see my profile while I'm there.
    Why this matters:
This provides a much-needed layer of "Geofenced Privacy." It gives users total control over who can discover them based on proximity, preventing unwanted discovery by people from different social or geographical circles.
I believe this would greatly enhance the sense of safety and privacy for many users.
    Best regards,

14. Misuse of Hide Distance by scammers and fake profiles

Feature request: Replace “hide distance” with distance buckets.

Full hiding attracts scammers (often overseas) and wastes time. Show ranges instead:
    <25 mi (local),
    <250 mi (regional),
    <2500 mi (same country),
    or farther.

Keeps privacy while indicating real proximity.

15. Gender feature

I don’t understand why we can’t have a gender filter app. Every other dating app out there has it except this one. It makes no sense. I don’t understand why we can’t have a gender filter? This app is attracting different genders who specifically want people that aren’t men. There are women, men, trans women, trans men, and we all want different people!! The stupid tribe feature does nothing because not everyone uses it or and if they did it’ll still show them.
