1. Grindr Should Be Free

I think Grindr Should be free or at least remove xtra & keep unlimited with a discounted price every month & add more features if you pay for unlimited. The features would include Ethnicity, Gender Hairyness, Hair Color, Max Distance Limit, Penis Size, DL guys in the areas you’re searching in, Sex practice (safe only or bareback only) & Fetishes. That way Grindr will have more users paying for it & Grindr can make a lot more money.

3. I’m fed up with the bots and spam profiles. Do something about it. It’s not that hard to verify profiles before letting people create them

Control the fake bot profiles!!! People’s pay you far too much to have to deal with fake profiles.

7. Option to opt out of AI Profile Insights

I feel incredibly uneasy about the new AI profile insights feature and the Edge offering in general. I understand a desire to jump on the AI train, but this feature feels too intrusive. I’m not comfortable knowing a stranger could pay to find out information about my preferences that should only be revealed through private messages. I am selective with who I talk to, and what I state on my profile is as much as I want a stranger to know about me.

At worst, I can see this feature misused by bad actors to gain information on the local LGBT population beyond our public profiles. $349 is steep for the average person, but may be justifiable to bot programmers, advertisers, or law enforcement.

I personally do not consent to have my data used in this way, and may reconsider how often I use Grindr in the future depending on how the Edge features are handled. Mixing AI with sexual apps is a very risky game to play.

12. Give Paying Subscribers Tiered discounts on features!

I’m an Unlimited Member (which is not cheap I might add) and having to pay (at all) or full price to use the Boost, Right Now and Roam features is unjustified. Offering these features as a complimentary or discounted add-on to the subscriber tiers would significantly increase the value of subscribing to Grindr.

13. Accessing someone's profile from the Albums tab

When scrolling through the albums that have been shared with you, its impossible to go directly to a person's profile when looking through their pics. You have to interact with the picture somehow, by pressing a icon such as "thumbs up, or HOT" and then going into your chats, opening the chat with the interaction, and then finally go to their profile.

In android, you can set the age range like 18-18 years old or 19 - 19 years old and so on. Here in ios, I cant set 18-18 it only allows me to set 18-21 years old or 18 - no maximum. It kinda annoys me since ny age preference is only 18-20

15. Moderation please review

Themartonfemboy@outlook.com is my new email for my account too BTW.

Hey beautiful souls at grindr xo

I'm following up on my previous email regarding my account.

My display name is CurvyNThick, and my User ID is 2H9883M501.

I live in rural New Zealand, where there are very few nearby profiles. Because of that, I can't tell whether XTRA would be useful for me without trying it first. I also need to be careful with my budget, so I can't commit to a subscription right now.

I want to be honest about why this matters so much to me. I have spent most of my life carrying a lot of pain from childhood, and for a long time I did not feel safe enough to fully accept or express that I am gay. Growing up, I learned to hide a big part of myself just to get through the day, and that kind of fear stays with you. It affects how you see yourself, how you trust people, and how comfortable you feel even trying to connect with others.

Recently, after a death in my family, something changed in me. It made me realize how short life is and how tired I am of living in fear and silence. For the first time, I felt a small sense of safety and permission to begin exploring who I really am. That has been emotional and overwhelming in ways I can barely put into words. I am trying to do this gently and safely, because I am still healing from a lot of old trauma and I do not want to rush into anything that could make me feel exposed or unsafe.

That is why a free trial of XTRA would mean so much to me. It would give me a chance to explore the app in a more protected and manageable way, especially in a rural area where there are so few people nearby. The extra features could help me feel less lost and less alone, and they would make it easier for me to see whether this app can actually support me as I try to build confidence and connect with others. Right now, I am not just looking for convenience — I am looking for a way to take one small, brave step forward in a part of my life that has been buried for far too long.

I am asking with genuine sincerity and a lot of vulnerability. A temporary XTRA trial would not just be a feature test for me; it would be a meaningful support while I try to navigate my trauma, my grief, and my identity with more honesty and less fear.

Thank you for your time and consideration. I truly appreciate you reading this and understanding how personal this is for me love yous xx

18. Restore the message search bar

The message search function was extremely useful for quickly finding old conversations by keywords, reconnecting with people, or locating important information without having to manually scroll through hundreds of chats.
Its absence makes the app much less efficient and wastes a lot of our time. We sincerely hope this highly appreciated feature can be restored.
    Thank you.
