1. Too many females and trannies on site!

   This isn’t to bash anyone or discriminate against any gender or gender identity, but this used to be an app where gays could come to meet, hookup, chat, etc. But now with trans and CD’s making profiles on a site that wasn’t created for them, they’re taking away from the grid space that gays would otherwise have to interact. I also don’t believe that straight guys should be allowed to make profiles on grindr because I honestly believe that half of those profiles are fake and used to extract personal information from the gays that attempt to interact with them. This started as a gay app and I wish it still was. Aren’t there other specific apps for other genders and identities? Especially now since one of the main filters has been removed the grid is more crowded than ever with folks who aren’t even interested in gay guys. I’d really like this app to go back to being gay again.

2. water compensation

   I live by a lake, and the mapping does not compensate for the lake being there, so when it says they are three miles away they are actually 12 because there is a lake you have to go around....

3. Sell subscription gift certificates

   During holidays sell GRindr yearly gift certificates, this way it does not interfere with your current account and the gifted recipient can use it to purchase Grindr membership. Everyone is happy and it’s a very good source of additional income for the Grindr franchise.

4. Option to disable album sharing for all users at once

   I have shared my album to so many users and if I want to stop sharing I have to click on each user's checkbox individually and then click on Stop Sharing.

6. Language/country filter

   It would be great if there was a filter that allowed you to search for people by the country they are from and the language they speak.

   The world is multicultural and residency is fluid. It would be brill to be able to go to another country on holiday and find someone who speaks a common language or indeed in your home country to find a particular country where you might have an affinity.

   One touch blocking. Just how users can currently Force Touch to favourite, chat, or report directly from the grid. Enabling one touch blocking would be helpful and efficient, and avoid sending a “who viewed you” notification to the profile which could allow people to see that you’ve blocked them in real-time

9. HPV vaccination status

   What about adding HPV vaccination status to the new vaccines section? Also resources and knowledge on the subject will really help the community.
   Having recently contracted HPV through somebody on the app I don’t want to spread it and put someone through what I’m experiencing and it’s a turn off to bring up in conversation.
   I wish I had been more aware and prepared before hand too.

10. "Shake on it" feature

    Two users should be able to agree on locking in their appointed hookup by clicking a "shake on it" button. Once the hookup is agreed upon, neither user will be able to chat with other profiles for an agreed upon amount of time and their profiles will turn red. Hookups can be canceled if both parties agree to do so, or by a single user via Grindr if a ticket is submitted. Users with a history of flaking on hookups made using "shake on it" will be issued strikes (the conversation will have to be reviewed as proof of flaking.) When a user acquires 3 strikes, they are temporarily banned from using the feature. A user with a history of false reporting will also be temporarily banned. The goal is to reduce the number of flakes on grindr by helping users avoid backup dates and having to choose one over another. If Users don't feel that they have to make backup plans.

    I hope this message finds you well. I am a long-time user of Grindr, and I wanted to share my concerns about some recent changes to the platform. Grindr has played a pivotal role in connecting and bringing together the LGBTQ+ community, but I’ve noticed a shift in its focus that has raised some issues.

    Firstly, the decision to group everyone from transgenders, transsexuals, bisexuals, homosexuals, and others into a single category feels like a simplification that doesn’t accurately represent the diverse experiences and identities within the LGBTQ+ community. It’s crucial to acknowledge and celebrate the unique aspects of each group.

    Secondly, the limitations placed on the ability to search profiles have been progressively increasing, to the point where free users can only see a very limited number of profiles. This restriction can be frustrating and discouraging for many users, especially those who may not have the means to afford a subscription.

    Moreover, the apparent manipulation of who can see profiles based on subscription fees rather than GPS location is concerning. The platform should prioritize proximity-based connections for the safety and convenience of its users.

    I urge you to consider the impact of these changes on the gay community and not solely as a source of revenue. While monetization is essential for the sustainability of the platform, it’s equally important to maintain the core values of inclusivity, diversity, and community-building.

    I would appreciate it if Grindr could take these concerns into account and consider making adjustments that better serve the LGBTQ+ community’s interests and needs. Your platform has been an integral part of our lives, and it’s our hope that it continues to be a positive and inclusive space for everyone.
