Needs ethnicity filter as originally designed
As of December 1 I stopped paying for Grindr. I noticed all these ads popping up and the app is decidedly worse without paying for it. However, I wont give them another cent and ignoring things that we want and things that help us as the app was originally designed to do. Believe it or not it was better when it first came out. I don’t see any improvements worth paying for especially removing the ethnicity filter, which is my single most important reason for deleting my subscription.

Position mandatory
Position should be mandatory. I could believe that it´s one of the most used filters. Frequently the contacted person is even rude when you ask whether he´s bttm.or top or whatever position....

Trans need they're own app too many on here
Grindr was supposed to be a gay hookup or dating app not for trans people that are guys to female or female to male or the ones they're looking for a male and female couple or the ones that say they're straight or the hustlers or the masseuses it should be just guys looking for guys everyone else should not be allowed on the site and also these young kids that keep popping up on here and they're reported and they create another ad. Adding two positions to your profile.
With the addition of the position "side" you have made it a little bit more difficult for the other "position-types".
With the added "side" it sounds like tops and bottoms only look for anal sex. So future users will look at us as being anal only.
So my suggestion is that you can add two position on your profile. For examble top+side, vers+side or btm+side. That way tops and btms won't get excluded in a "side" filter search, if people think only sides do blowjobs. smiling

Grindr Affinity
Since the removal of the ability to filter by race I have struggled to make meaningful connections with communities of color. My physical location is predominantly white and I continue to experience high levels of racism overs and implicit, microaggression, or just simply being blocked because being black is not someone’s “type”. This has caused a great deal of psychological harm personally and fueled feelings of loneliness. Age range
Fucking free version you can only search for 4 years. Why the fuck do you keep making it harder to use your app. Wtf. Stop forcing people to pay for your shit.
Bring back the old version where you could search for whatever age you want without limiting you to 4.
Also, just in general, stop changing free features to paid ones.

I cant find Trans girls
As soon as I use the trans filter, only 3 profiles are avivable in the free version...
2 of them are guys who didnt understand wich their tribe were, and the third one is a crossdresser who is mixed with trans girls for some reason I cant understand...

Grindr should be for men seeking men. & cellphone verification should be required with a text code
Grindr should make a separate app for mf couples, trans, and all other individuals seeking something other than male for male interaction. Also, due to the high number of fake profiles I think creating a Grindr account should require text authentication, preferably with a system that can detect when 3rd party text apps are being used. This would protect peoples privacy and increase safety for everyone.

It would be easier if there was a match function.
For example: if someone posts that they like slim and you have posted that you are slim... there is a match.

Why is my "type" now a extra feature.
Why is it that I can't view my type like trans, without having to pay for extra? Like if I turn on my type every profile is under the extra. Why make it so I have to constantly be annoyed and harassed by profiles I have no interest in an are not my type. An no matter how many times I say not interested or even block accounts I get the same exact guys messaging me. Itd be awesome to add the option to only be viewed by a certain preference... for example, i personally am interested in white men over 40....well, it'd be great if I could decide, to only be visible also by white men over 40 in my area, instead of weeding out messages as they see and message me

My fucking location is always fucked. Not visible on the grid. My ex-boyfriend jeopardizes individuals ability to be seen and heard.
