Actually verify face photos (no cartoons, e.g.)
There are a lot of failures by this public company in the app. One of the many is that too many alleged people (I say alleged because how can we know they’re real) who post CARTOONS and other obviously fake, non-human photographs….and these are verified by mods or AI as being a human face! Please vet these, even if it’s a paid member. I also pay for the app, and I’d like my payment to be used to support working AI/mods.
Also, let’s cleanup the non- 1) gay, 2) men. It’s never been an app for trans people. At minimum…

Equality in profile pictures
I'm always finding super revealing pictures on other people's profiles. I don't think all the moderators approve the same quality of pictures. Some profiles can have super revealing pictures on their profile, while other profiles can only have mild pictures when it comes to body and nudity. So can we just have equality all across the board here??

Report people who stand you up
Ive had it twice now when a guy agrees to meet up at a designated time and place but they don't show up. This is a massive waste of time for the other person. If they can't pitch up then they should send a message. Failure to do so should equate to a report and the user profile disabled after a number eg 3 offenses. For moderation use, a copy of the messages can be sent with a report for confirmation.

Height in Imperial but Distance in Metric
Ability to choose which stat uses with unit system. I’d like to see Height in Feet but Distance in Kilometres as is common in Australia.

This would require that at least some basic stuff about people, you would see it on their profile and would lessen fake/blank profiles.

HIV Status
I personally think to limit the amount of guys that are getting put at risk by other guys who lie about their status, Grindr should make HIV statuses marked as verified in the same manner that the app’s algorithms check profile pictures to make sure they’re not inappropriate. If they’re negative or on prep the verification mark for their status could require reevaluations every 3-6 months so it accurate enough for users to make safer and smarter decisions with who they’re hooking up with. O aplicativo precisa conectar anexo externo pra banir garotos de programa, o perfil é o mesmo ele vai manda o WhatsApp e lá ele expõe preço e demais coisas que a plataforma não permite. Seria interessante essa verificação se houver um print do número passado fazendo isso pra tirar da plataforma

Sending unsanted unconsented dickpics or nudes is very normalised on Grindr. What if someone on the receiving end is under-age and they faked their age. Being on Grindr is no excuse for sexual harrassment. I think Grindr is accountable to make people accountable for their behaviour
