Right now people can see how close you are down to the meter maybe have a third option instead of having distance set to on or off you can set it so that people can see how many km away you are, so if its under 1 km it will still only say 1km away i would love to show distance but i dont want people to be able to track me down easily to my exact house especially if someone that lives very close downloads the app (like 200 meters away) this would atleast make me alot comfier with…

A way to verify yourself
Right now we are all aware there are many individuals who have fake profiles, and even individuals who are scamming people. I understand people want to be discreet, but there should be a feature kind of like tinder where you actually get a checkmark for being verified with your profile. Somebody in the past created a fake profile trying to sextort me which I ended up reporting to the FBI. The problem is they blocked my profile right away before I was able to report it to Grindr. Distance
I suggest that I we Hide our distance we cannot see the other distance of the users. Just like in facebook messenger, If we turned off chat Online status we cannot see other users Online.

Spoken Language
Hello! I think you should make it so that you can choose which languages you speak. I don't know how many times the conversation has started with us actually speaking the same language, but one thinks the other is foreign and writes in English. Or that I think someone else is Norwegian, but then they don't understand Norwegian. My experience is that many conversations become awkward when this happens. It would be great if everyone could enter in the bio which language they speak.

Grindr needs a filter to show only under 10miles away, plus display location on every profile.

Allow the option for incognito or online be per profile.
Give you the option to make a single profile Incognito all the time or Online all the time regardless of what you choose for everyone else. So you could choose to have a friend see you or not see you regardless of what you choose for everyone else.

When deleting chats the apps lets you delete one by one or pin chats one by one

Chat delete options
An option to clear chats that are older than a certain age (eg 3 months, 6moths etc.) Also being able to delete chats from deleted profiles. storing so many old chats on my phone requires a decent amount of storage and it's a hassle to delete chats individually.

We can only see a small amount of profiles, many of which are cis and trans women or straight men looking for cis and trans women. Introducing an ultra simple feature showing how long a user has been Grindr member helps a lot not falling into fake profiles since those are ver commonly very freshly created profiles!! It would be wonderful if you could insert this info „Member since xxxxx“ in everyone‘s profiles!

Remove the time limit for seeing taps on free accounts
Considering the huge amount of ads on the free version it’s very surprising that the free features are gradually being removed. The time limit or 8 hours to see a tap is ridiculous and should be removed.
