Ads are unreal
I get it uhave ads but it's out of hand when u can't get back yo the app because it won't let u. Seriously

Don't allow empty profiles!
Make nickname, at least one photo, and description mandatory in every profile. There are too many empty profiles and often they are just fake or spam

Do better
Some of us want to find love and actual human connection. 75% of profiles are dead and no reactive by my estimation.
It’s also not my damn job to be a bar bouncer. Know Your Customer. You should be checking ID like any bar for people who shouldn’t be on the app.
I’d rather not go to jail for y’all’s laziness. Multiple instances I’ve met someone on app who ended up being underage and have lied directly to my face…about being of a legal age. There is no excuse. But at the end of the day I expect a safe…

Remove the 'Explore' feature you implemented where it shows random users from around the globe
Remove the new 'Explore' feature you implemented (May2025) where it shows random users from around the globe. Its irrelevant to users. If people want to explore and area they are visiting, you should keep that function of grindr, but nit the random explore windows/blocks from around the world. This is breaching privacy controls by showing users without consent!

ENOUGH OVERKILL WITH THE ADS!!!
It didn't use to be so bad, but now the app just isn't enjoyable anymore. Especially when ya have AD/HD like me and the ADS cause me to constantly lose focus. I have went back to using Scruff or Jack'd and I just recently discovered Sniffies.

Distance
Earlier versions allows to see our favorite person distance, so that I contact him easily. Updated version not able to see. If I filter to see the distance also not showing.
Also need to improve online time it should update every minute even after 1 hour also it need to show like for example 1 hour 3 minutes ago, 10 hours 5 minutes etc.3 votes -

In the commercial of picknick (showing a lot in the netherlands) there are kids in the video. Should not be on a gay dating app

Get rid of the ‘for you’ feature
This feature is a literal cockblock paywall feature. It shallow attempt to get people to subscribe to the premium version of the app by heavily restricting the people that are in your radius and nearby. It is disappointing and condescending that they think we still believe they care for this community. But of course Grindr has just become another crummy and bordering scammy app that continually makes the experience worse and worse as the years go one

Keep Basic Tap Functionality Accessible
With the recent update, the visibility of Taps in the free version has been significantly reduced. In practice, this means that Taps often disappear before I even have a chance to see them — whether I’m at work, asleep, or simply unavailable for a short time.
A feature that was previously free and functional has now been made nearly unusable unless one pays a considerable fee. I find this disappointing and user-unfriendly. I strongly urge you to consider making Taps visible for a more reasonable timeframe (e.g. 24 hours), so users have a fair opportunity to respond.

There’s no way to block people, just “hide” them but later when you go back on they’re just magically there? allow users to hide all roaming profiles from their grid
Users should pay for features which enhance their app experience, not pay to not be annoyed/inconvenienced. Please allow users to decide whether they want to allow roaming profiles to show on their grid. It is fucking up the distance setting. It is also annoying when you think someone is 5 mi away (especially if they don't have their distance turned on) and then find out they are 100 mi away. It just wastes time and pisses people off

I have a great idea. Stop mixing in people that are 160+ miles away? I mean that seems pretty obvious but apparently it's not so here i am
Stop putting people in the list that are over 100 miles away it makes no fucking sense. And while you're at it do something about these people pushing their onlyfans and the bots looking to rob people. This app has become a wasteland

Enough with the snapchat ADs
Snapchat is free, WE ALL ALREADY HAVE SNAPCHAT...
The Snapchat ads are insane and difficult to close, and just open Snapchat when you try to hit the X to close the ADs. There's like 3-4 AD walls w the Snapchat ad, and there's kids and families in the ADs. Unacceptable

Allow all users to see taps again
I'm an XTRA subscriber, and I've recently learned that taps are not visible or are visible only for a very short time to free users. This makes tapping useless for everyone, because we have no idea whether the person is a paid user and if they ever saw our taps. Haven't you already made life miserable enough for free users? You're constantly putting so many new obstacles on free users and increasing subscription prices so much that the Grindr community will continue to get smaller and your app will become irrelevant.

Can’t report if blocked while writing report
If you are trying to report someone threatening you and you can’t do it fast enough they can block you without you ever being able to report them. It should be made that the second file the report button you are locked into the report. This is scary that you have to be rushed to report someone harassing you. I was typing what happened after pressing report, then selecting harassment. Then I got blocked.

Profile order in search results randomized
Previously were all profiles sorted according to the distance, and since recently there are search results where there inserted many profiles with much bigger distance making sorting accord to distance not valid any more. This makes the usage of the app really hard and the app looses its purpose.
