1. Share a user's profile

   It would be great to have the ability to share a user's profile with another user. There are times when I'm engaging in conversation with someone, and I realize that while we may not be the perfect match for each other, a friend of mine could be an ideal fit. In these situations, I would love to have an option to share that user's profile with my friend or refer them to one another. This feature would not only facilitate meaningful connections but also enhance the overall experience for everyone involved. Being able to bridge these interactions would make it easier to foster relationships that could truly flourish.

3. That I live in a fairly sparsely populated town and state and your system places people who live 150+ miles away from me. WTF???

   Don’t show people who are non-geographically desirable. That really sucks and not in a good way. Probably time to just delete the account. Not worth it with the adds that are COMPLETELY IRRELEVANT

4. Roam is a scam

   First of all when you buy the ability to roam for an hour and you she the Ability to not roam don't continue to let the clock run out. If we stop roam the timer should also stop you're scamming people. Secondly when we put our profile let's say in Chicago give me profiles in Chicago. Instead of taking the mileage from my location to Chicago and giving me a radius of that milage that is not what is advertised that we paid for. Plus if you have unlimited then shouldn't that be included makes no sense as to why that's an additional charge

5. The flashing ads!

   The flashing ads are so intrusive even to me. I fear that somebody with epilepsy could possibly have a goddamn seizure because of how intrusive andFLASY they are at times. Maybe find another way of, “creating a means in which the gay community can gather safely,” without causing constant eye strain and possibly causing someone to seize on the floor while looking for dick. 6. Too many ads, you have to let up on it

   Let us on these ads, we can’t even see our message without seeing the ad, and then going to answer it and then watching another ad. It’s too much and you are drunk on money right now.

7. Stop being so god damned greedy

   The subscription cost has been too much for a long time now. These additional features behind a paywall has me seriously considering to only use your competitor after being a regular user of your platform for nearly a decade. Instead of milking every dime my maximizing the revenue from each individual user, you should be trying to grow your subscriber base by building value in the product. Ive watched grindr become more and more segmented by paywalls and the subscription cost has more than doubled. Ive already been using your competitor concurrently and am very close to shutting down my account and never paying you another dime. Your greed is going to kill the goose that laid the golden egg.

8. Why I Wanted to Learn Speed Reading

   I’ve always been curious. Whether it was books, articles, or research papers, I wanted to soak up as much information as possible. But I kept hitting a wall. My reading felt slow, and my retention was mediocre at best. I wanted to break free from that limitation.

   That’s when I started researching how to speed read. I learned that most people read the same way they did in school: word by word, often subvocalizing (saying the words in their head). That slows you down significantly. This was one of the hardest habits to break. I used to hear every word in my head, which made my reading speed crawl. I practiced minimizing that voice by focusing on visual scanning — letting my eyes flow across the text without mentally pronouncing each word. I started using active recall techniques — pausing after each section to summarize what I just read. Sometimes I’d jot down quick notes or ask myself questions. This deepened my understanding and helped lock the information into memory.

9. Choosing who is allowed to message you.

   We should have a feature that allows all users to have a “request for chat” button. That way we are not bombarded with messages and pictures we didn’t consent to. It would promote a more organized inbox and enable people to sort through who they want to talk to and who they don’t. We would get a notification where we can press accept or decline and when decline that person won’t show up on our feed and vice versa. The taps button would be converted to the request button and we won’t have an open way of messaging whoever we want anymore. Our messaging and choices with people will be selective and intentional. Too much is being allowed in this app. It’s not longer a proper safe for engagement.

11. “Accepts NSFW pictures” setting should be meaningful

    If my account is set to “not at first”, other users should not be able to send pictures unsolicited. I can’t stand being continually harassed with unwanted images because respecting my choices is optional for the sender.
    Obviously we can’t monitor the image content constantly, but perhaps a prompt on sender end to inform them of my account setting such as;
    “This user has stated they do not accept NSFW pictures at first, send anyway?” Since most don’t even read accounts before sending, as a deterrent. Maybe paired with the ability on receiver end to hide thumbnails of images sent anyway, and decide to open them or not?

    I've been on grindr for 12 years. I have always wanted a way to block and report without clicking on the profile. (Tap and hold. A list appears. With block and report as options)

    So you never have to be on someone's recent views at all... you can discreetly block without anyone ever seing you visited there profile even for 30 seconds..

14. Chaser tag discrimination

    At this point a simple tag "Chaser" has been advocated for on this platform by myself and other users for YEARS. I have seen the most ridiculous other tags added but one that is used across every other gay app is somehow still not included on the most "famous"? Is this discrimination? As a paying member this is outrageous.

    If I have an unlimited subscription, I should not be getting prompts to pay more for boosts or any other in app purchase it should truly be unlimited!

17. Make uernames mandatory

    I get too many notifications saying. "Someone" says hi, "Someone" says how's it going? "Someone" says hey, "Someone" sent a picture.

    This isn't the same person sending messages. This is four different people all being described as "Someone." I find it really annoying and I find it hard to track down chats of who I am chatting with a week ago and trying to meet up with them if they don't have a unique username.

    It should say "Bob7272" says hi, "JammaKnight" says how's it going? "Gloryhole83" says hey, "chubchaser63637" sent a picture.

19. Interactive Distance map

    Hi Grindr Team,

    I’d like to suggest a new feature for the app. Currently, user profiles display the distance of other users from them (e.g., 2 km away). My idea is to make this distance clickable, so when someone clicks on it, it opens a small map. The map would show a general area based on the user’s location and include a circular radius to represent the specified distance.

    This feature could give users a better visual understanding of how far someone is, while still keeping specific locations private.
