1. Moderate profiles better. Lately every 4th profile is the say girl with the same clothes, they are obviously spam

   Moderate profiles , if you don’t pay you have to verify or something to prevent all the fake GIRL profiles. Then there are the bots. Seriously for 300 hire some decent consultants and have your systems trained using genAI to weed out the non real profiles.

2. Get rid of AI generated profiles

   I've enjoyed Grindr for many year but in the last month or so it is becoming increasingly unusuable for a gay man looking to meet other men.
   The app is getting overrun with fake profiles, using AI generated photos purporting to be Transwomen. I've also seen some profiles purporting to be Cis women. The latter raises a serious question about what Grindr is - inclusivity is one thing, opening it up to all comers is quite another. Inclusivity taken to it ultimate conclusion just results in invisibility of those who Grindr started out trying to serve.
   My other question for you is about Grindr's monetisation strategy. I have noticed adverse changes to the offering for non-subscribers. First it was removal of the ability to block profiles on the grid; this became "hide" and meant that the number of profiles visible decreased. Then there was the change to age filtering. Initially age could be filtered in yearly increments, then it was 3-yearly increments and now it is 5. And with this latest change, filtering for age reduces the number of profiles in the grid.
   Now putting together my two questions - is Grindr deliberately tolerating the fake profiles so that they crowd out the grid available to non-subscribers and deliberately preventing users from blocking such profiles to stop them circumventing this monetisation strategy?
   Are my suspicions well founded or am I being a conspiracy theorist?

3. Remove IG and OF "Ads"

   I spend most of my time Hiding tons of these profiles, many of them which just come back and Tap me. It's crazy how much space they occupy. I guess they're "paying" customers but it's so freaking annoying. It makes me want to leave the platform.

4. Feature: Prevent messages from too far away

   A good paid feature would be to prevent people messaging you if they are too far away. Anything over 25km away is generally a bit pointless. Often a waste of time asking each other how you are for a few days.

5. Disable albums on Grindr Web - Screenshots

   People often use albums to prevent their private photos and videos from being screenshotted/saved. You can get around this quickly by logging into Grindr on the web and using a computer's tools to save them.

   Albums shouldn't be viewable on the web, or, the album owner should be able to opt-out of their albums being available on the web-version.

6. Remove restriction on number of profiles that we can messagr to using the explore feature on Xtra subscription

   Xtra subscription now only allows 5 taps/chats while exploring which I'd ridiculous. I paid that extra amount specifically for the explore feature and now it's basically moved into the unlimited subscription

7. Some sort of bot blocker.

   When does too many ads down I mean it's ridiculous that how many ads how frequent they pop up. And these fake profiles with these girls that are taking up 25% of the grid and there's fake profiles is there anything I can do about that so their bots can you just block them. It took away the block features so that the hide everything which it doesn't make any sense and you live in our grid to very very few people less repainting on the leg for it your service and these fake girl bots are filling up my inbox and are tapping all the damn time and they're fake and I just needs to be with something that you can do it has to be something you can do about this it's really annoying

11. Ban users based on text string

    I accidentally engage with 1 onlyfans creator and now I'm inundated with taps from guys who are only on grindr to farm olyf subs. Aside from it being slightly questionable on the data management side, it's having quite a negative impact on my experience and I'd like to be able to do something about it. I'd like to enter a text string and hide anyone that has that in the bio/description.

12. No respect for users, blatant attempt at a money grab as Grindr dilutes the grid with fake profiles

    Grinders treatment of its users has become is disrespectful as any app I can recall. Generation of multiple fake profiles that are duplicated every 40 to 50 mi in the grid serve no purpose whatsoever besides diluting the grid in The continued lack of respect grinder has for its users and the obscene level of greed this company embraces. $20 a month for an app is a lot. $40 is insane but people pay it myself included. Not because it is worth it but just because the app is so fucking terrible. If you don't have it it becomes basically unusable. And that is referring to the app going back a few years today. Not having one of the premium subscriptions means the app is no more than an ad generating POS. I cannot believe unmitigated Gall of this company intentionally create dozens of fake profiles. Repeat them every 40 or 50 mi. They're not selling anything. They're not spam. They are designed to look on the surface like real profiles but they're obviously not. Brian are said they wanted to eliminate spam and they wanted to get rid of all this other stuff. Well at least the spam was real and not made by the company who made the app for no reason besides making the user experience as unpleasant and frustrating as possible to try to force people into spending money on it. I've paid $40 a month for quite some time more out of habit than anything. 0 everybody has suffered through this garbage and these terrible clunky apps. This terrible redesigns apps crashing constantly. Nothing working right. It just being nothing but a complete klusterfuk but people still pay for it. Thank you for encouraging me with your there's a complete lack of respect for your customer base along with rewarding Customer loyalty by intentionally making your product worse knowingly creating junk profiles just to force people to have to pay for your product to use it. I'd always thought pretty low of the company but I hoped in time that they would improve and thought by beta testing and paying for it and trying to be involved. Maybe I could provide some insight or offer anything to help improve an app that has been around for a long time consistently gets worse. But I see now that that I was stupid and played for a fool by this company. Just like everybody else that's paying for it and using it. I for one will not ever buy a subscription or give them another dime. In fact, I think the best route will be to delete all of my data from the app and then uninstall it and find something else. Paying $500 a year. This company work at making their product as poor as they can in order to try to get people who aren't paying for it to pay for it is unconscionable. Everybody's ripping consumers off these days. We all know that but this is so egregious and insulting that I for one would rather not use anything than endorse this company. Your loyalty is noted the onger you've been a customer and the more you have paid Grindr. They document it because the more you give them and the more loyal you are, the more they spit in your face. The audacity and complete disregard for the customers who have made this trash app. What it is should be repaid back to grinder in kind ideally with nobody paying for it anymore and them either selling it shutting it down or making at least some semblance of a working, scalable product. Seems like it would be a great place to work. Go in everyday instead of improving things do your best to find ways to make a bad product worse. 13. Can’t filter by exact age, the filter defaults to five years.

    I pay for XTRA, I was previously able to filter by exact age, now the filter spans a range of five years and will not allow me to filter by exact age. What am I paying for if you keep charging more for less features?

    Can you people let us pay one price to remove just the ads? The app wouldn’t be as abysmal if the ads went away. Or can you make it so we can watch one long ad for an hour or two of ad free browsing?

    You need to do a better job screening out the spammers from your profiles. And all the fake profiles that keep getting created. It is getting ridiculous when 75% of the profiles are fake people

19. Remove the tap / like button on expiring albums

    I pay for extra and prefer to send albums on view once, however even when I send them as view once people can still tap each photo in the album giving them access to see my photos after the albums expired. I don’t like this feature at all and completely defeats the purpose of an expiring album. Remove the tap button on expiring albums.

20. Fight the Catfish and Block Screen Shots!!!

    It's simply appalling and disgusting to see that so many of your loyal users have been simply ignored by you over time in regards of a very important privacy concern: STOP the bloody Catfish and the Grindr Theft Picture, make sure to prevent the bloody Screen Shot. Is that really difficult and expensive for such a long time runner and staple of the gay dating app history in the Globe?
    C'mon you can do it. Sc"*@@ did it, why can't you? :)
