1. Filters

   Well, when we deactivate the “show me” option in explore, this should not mean that the filter option, for example, the person who deactivated the function does not appear, it is wrong, sometimes you want to see a certain person or a certain audience and you don't see it due to the removal of seeing it in explore, it's okay that there are unwanted contacts but the filters don't match the exploration, if you think like that the whole app is about exploration. It's a big hunt.

2. Time waster markers

   Like favourites but the opposite.

   It's hard to keep track of all the time wasters, especially when they are blank, so I would appreciate a way of marking these profiles so I know to avoid them in future.

3. Add “cuddles” to the “what we’re looking for” tag

   Some people are asexual or sometimes just arent currently looking for sex. Sometimes, we’re just wanting to hold or be held- no sex. So many people will think “cuddles/cuddling” as a name means to cuddle and then have sex- it would be more efficient to have a “position” as “cuddle” or “no sex” even. Having your position only eludes to the fact that u might wind up wanting sex. We need something for those of us with a strict no sex boundary for that time period at least.

4. Stop manipulating the data. As soon as booster have been advertised, I have a much less connections.

   Before I was receiving at least 15-20 requests a day. Since the booster come to this app I start receiving 3-5 requests.
   It is so obvious.

7. Block feature will not remove blank profiles anymore. Used to block when i would block now it does not work.

8. Account banned thinking I am spam

   I request to improve Grindr system to have enhanced checks like the other dating app does. I was banned in error assuming I am spam
   Tinder/hinge/bumble all check for spam/profile photo verification account is created. That’s instant. None of the other apps bans in middle of chats. That’s very disappointing!

   On Grindr, I have been waiting since weekend. My whole weekend got spoilt. I’d like you to escalate this so that users are not left banned for long periods without violating anything! This has happened with me several times in last. Pls escalate this!

   When someone shares their map location with me, keep the location map pinned for easy reference later. I don’t want to have to annoyingly scroll through lengthy chat to find the location map they shared earlier in the chat. Create an icon like the album, or allow a shortcut available somewhere to access quickly! PLEEEASE!!

10. Add DoxyPEP as a profile option

    DoxyPEP is being used for STI prevention and I feel this would be good to highlight in profiles similar to the prep option. Would make it easier to id potential partners who are using this and lower risk for STI transmission. Would also make it more visible as a STI prevention option for those unaware as well.

    Dear Grindr Team,

    I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my deep frustration with the current state of the Grindr app and to request the creation of a new, more inclusive dating platform specifically designed to cater to the needs of individuals like me.

    The existing Grindr app has undoubtedly been a game-changer for the LGBTQ+ community, providing an efficient platform to connect and interact. However, it falls significantly short when it comes to inclusivity and accommodating diverse body types. As a "chubby" myself, I have faced numerous challenges while using the app.

The current app, at times, seems geared towards a singular body image, which only exacerbates the feeling of exclusion.

    In an era where diversity and inclusivity are increasingly valued, it is essential for the LGBTQ+ community to have a dating platform that reflects the full spectrum of its members. There is a clear need for an app that celebrates different body types and provides a safe and welcoming space for all.

    I strongly urge you to consider creating a new app that is more inclusive and offers a variety of options to meet the needs and preferences of all its users. This new app should be designed to foster connections based on shared interests, personalities, and values, rather than merely appearance.

    I believe that such a platform would not only benefit me but also countless others who have felt marginalized by the current dating options. It is time for a change, and I sincerely hope that Grindr, a pioneer in the LGBTQ+ dating app world, will take the lead in this much-needed evolution.

14. Stop being greedy capitalists

    I took 6 months off grindr and so much is behind a paywall now its absolutely useless. This app is absolute garbage and exploiting marginalized communities. Any LGBTQ+ people working for you should be ashamed of themselves. This was the last queer space online that didn't leech money from people who are statistically more likely to be poor. I used grindr for years and i hate this change and am personally disgusted. Shame on your abhorrent capitalist ethics

15. Make it possible to be invisible to other people in certain geographic areas like work or home for privacy.

    This would allow you to not be seen by people near your home (neighbors) or coworkers. But even more importantly, for people like me who work in education, we wouldn’t have to worry about our students finding us if we forget to swipe the app closed before heading to work or something. Our students wouldn’t be able to find us by opening the app with a fake account they’ve created (not that hard to fake their age) and all the sudden there we are connected in a very inappropriate way because of our close proximity in that moment. I’m sure education is not the only problematic profession for this; doctors, therapist, judges, there’s gays in all professions even when those professions make it less than welcoming for us. It would help to have some privacy protections like being invisible to people in certain geographic locations.

20. Make Web version available to all for free.

    Some of us live in dangerous areas and/or in the closet.
    We cannot DOWNLOAD the APP on our PHONES and risk getting caught; THEREFORE make the WEB VERSION available to all for free.
