Profile should be visible to filtered guys only.
i have a type, when i use a filter to get only my type of profiles, i should be visible to those filtered users only. I dont want other users to text me, since theybdont conform to my type.

To many “Boost” Ads!
Spamming me ever 2 seconds trying to sell me a “boost” for a buck when I’m already paying for the app. I can see if you have the free version but I’m paying for the app and still interrupted by Grindr ads trying to upsell me every time I go online, just remind me once or twice where the “boost” button is and stop harassing me about it, I like having the option but dislike being hounded!

Can you moderate the trans and cd’s? Maybe moderate them out to their own ap. They clog the grid.

Stop showing boost ads
Stop showing me the boost ad. I have a paid unlimited membership and I still get this fucking ad. Why?? Stop it already. If there were only a block ad feature like you have the block user feature. Hmm. Seriously STOP the boost ad you greedy fucks.

More bio text, better profile pic moderation, and a profile enhancement (text bubble update)
The bios need just a little more characters, WHOEVER IS IN CHARGE OF THESE PROFILE PIC MODERATING NEEDS CHECKED, far to many have slipped through the crack while others have been BANNED for nothing, and a current event colored text bubble that can expand over the profile picture to say what you’re up to would be great for a more genuine encounter rather than using your phone like a dowsing rod 🤦♂️

In Video calls, to prevent catfishing: an indicator for whether there's a face in the video stream.
The easiest way to make sure you're not getting catfished is to just do a video call.
Now some deceitful people cover their cams, or point the screen elsewhere so only their ear/cheek is visible.
Can we have a simple algorithm that checks for the existence of a face on either end before it lets the call connect?
Till the time he shows his face, he doesn't get the video stream going.
Of course there are many other refinements possible along the same lines.
What do you folks think?

My own tags not editable anymore nor even visible to me
When tags got introduced, I added some to my profile. They're still there but I seem to be the only person not being able to see them. I don't even have the section in the Settings to change them or get rid of them.
Having stuff on my profile that I can't change or even see is some really bad programming. It needs to be fixed badly.

Fix explore function
Explore shows men “nearby” when they’re 30 miles away. Wtf. 2 friends and I sat in my house all online and tested it to find each other on explore. We put the pin right on my house and none of us showed up in each others grid. We turned off all filters and even had each other favorited. Didn’t work. Worthless pos.

Why can’t we sort taps and messages by distance? I want to filter messages by guys near me- not 50 miles away first and then 50 feet away next.

Openly Prostitution
Grindr will ban accounts for no reason, the appeal process is ridiculous, there is proof of this when you directly ask for proof of the violation. And Grindr cannot provide any. Yet there are 1000’s of profiles on Grindr who openly solicit prostitution. Using tens like generous, P2P, and directly asking for $$$ in exchange for sex, yet these accounts remain open. I cannot tell you how many times I have been contacted by someone asking me for money in exchange for sex. Grindr has their account priorities severely wrong.
