1. Taps more than 3hours old are now hidden?!

   What the hell? As if Grindr weren’t pretty shitty already (the free version), you have to go and make it worse? We can’t see taps more than 3 hours old, the grid doesn’t refresh on its own (if it loads at all), and you can’t even view a profile without getting an ad. You guys have just gotten greedy and it’s disgusting.

6. BRING BACK GROUP CHAT

   grindr should bring back group chat feature. it is hard to coordinate when an idea is in the making and more than two people are involved in the plan. i hope grindr will think about our pleasure and desires as it is made for the community and not entirely a capitalist app. or maybe i am mistaken that it is now a profit making application. queer folx assemble ans vote for the feature. let's have it back.

12. Error when opening app from a chat notification

    For weeks now if I tap on a new message notification then the app opens and takes me to that conversation thread, but the conversation never loads and it just says connecting at the top if I hit back and then go into the conversation again I see the correct conversation load immediately.

    If I type a message in that “ Connecting” Thread, then it stays there and his visible next time I open the app from notification, but is never sent to the recipient. It’s like there are two parallel conversation threads. One of which is broken. This behaviour seemed to begin around the time I had a message saying that you were changing the way chats were backed up.

    It’s really annoying!

13. Im tried of getting advertisements into my inbox. This is so annoying please stop.

    Every time i'm updating the app i'm getting more advertisements bombarding my inbox. To be honest i'm tired of this. Just stop... I'm not even interested in anything of what you advertising.

19. Still waiting for a feature that allows you to make yourself invisible to people you aren't interested in.

    I keep getting messages from men old enough to be my dad and 10+ years younger than me. I have my search filtered to look no more than 2 years younger and no more than 6 years older. This has been asked for many, many times. There needs to be at the very least a checkbox to make yourself visible to everybody you've filtered out of your search so people don't end up wasting their time on someone they don't have a chance with. The potential for these interactions to start means potential for abuse. I've had guys who I'm 100% not interested in message me and when I don't reply, message me again later with something abusive which is why I ultimately don't reply that I'm not interested, because it'll probably result in an abusive response. It would be easiest if we just can't see eachother to start with.

20. Rename "tribes". The concept is helpful, using the language of a slaughtered people is not.

    As a community we have shown we are creative. We invent the words to express who we are. Many of the communities are the kindest people I've met. We have known pain and suffering, so we trust and support each other. 'Gay' was never enough to describe us. But we are not tribes. Our pain is real, but we do not live as the people we slaughtered did. We are building lasting communities together. For some of us, it will take great effort, picking up every stick we find, to reinforce the bush in which we hide, to keep our friends safe. So I feel comfortable to say, I am a faggot. I hope you can feel the calm to be one too.
