1. Make a label to show "I am looking for now".

   It should have a functionality that allows people to show a label on their profile so others can see they're looking for now. There are lots of apps have this feature. You could customize it for 2 hrs or for the whole day or capable of removing it by the user himself.

2. Add another tab to top of Inbox - Pinned

   My inbox is getting filled with lots of pinned contacts. So when a new message comes in from a regular contact, I have to scroll many many screens to get to the top of a new regular message. My recommendation is to add a Pinned tab to the inbox. Therefore when a new message arrives, if it's not in your message tab, you just click on Pinned tab, & you can see your latest message. So the message tab would have messages from regular contacts & pinned tab would have messages from pinned contacts

   Everyone turns their distance off. If they do they should not be able to see the distance of others This should encourage more to turn distance on

5. When I updated my photo, I couldn't delete me old photo.

   I should be able to upload a new profile photo and make that my main profile picture. I tried several times and it always defaulted back to my original pic. It sucks to see so many photos of assholes approved and then I try one with my torso and it gets rejected or delayed. Some of these people have straight up pornographic images as their profile pictures and yet I can't show my torso because it's too sexual. Doesn't make sense to me - especially after having spent money on this app knowing full well the people that have posted full nudity have not paid. Feels like you need to be hot to have your pictures approved / to enjoy the app. I don't like it. I don't pay to play.

9. Banned accounts

   Grindr’s system for reviewing accounts is ridiculous. I was a paid subscriber for 4 yrs and all of sudden I received a ban. The appeal process is as ridiculous. I was banned for no reason, I NEVER violated any community rules or standards. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE DO NOT PURCHASE A SUBSCRIPTION BECAUSE YOU COULD BE BANNED FOR NO REASON AND STILL BE BILLED… Grindr seriously needs to review how they determine a account ban.

10. transgender app

    Have a separate tab for transgender people so they can still be a part of grindr but be able to more easily find what they are looking for Without being turned down or embarrassed or continually feel rejected. I know it bums me out when someone says no and my transgender friends say it happens a lot to them and it kinda sucks because it bothers them a lot to where they don’t want to say hi to people. So make a tab for transgender people or people seeking that to better increase their chances of matching, foster a feeling of belonging and catering to a new revenue source for you while being sensitive to their need for quality interactions with like minded people.

    Too many fake accounts trying to get personal data or straight up stealing pictures to catfish. Yesterday i was approached by a profile claiming to be a photographer, who wanted me do go on telegram to talk about a non existakt photoshoot. Verification of pics you pit on your profile uploaded from the camera roll as well as verifyung users email adresses could be usefull to redymuce scamming activities

15. fake profiles that ask for money or info like it’s either a foreigner or data collection survey

    This is reficulous that you charge so much for your app when we have to dig through the bs of who is real or who is going to ask for money or ask for all my info like name occupation age and the like in one. Message like they’re collecting data for some study.. this is what deters me from ever wanting to pay for your app ever again. I don’t care what it takes if you recreate new keywords if used on the profile or actual people checking in on profiles by contacting but you need to do something because without it I’m never joining again bc it’s a joke when it cost so much to have to be the one to do your job

    I have notice recently an incredible amount of accounts of “straight men” and “dl men” seeking trans people as well as a lot of trans people in the app. If I have a free account I have a limited amount of choices already, and if from those choices almost 50% (if not more) are of people that have no interest in me or me in them at all, that leaves me with very little to choose from. Why not create a choice for people to view only trans people or advertise only to trans, straight, dl, etc? Grindr is a gay dating app, it should be kept that way if possible, but without excluding others completely. It’s just really upsetting to have to deal with (particularly) all these men who are trolling the app and being rude to gay men, because they are only interested I. Trans women. Anyway, just a thought.

20. Swipe through the profiles who tapped me

    Similar function like in the “who watched my profile” view: When I tap on a photo in my in-box taps view, I can right swipe the profile to see the previous user who tapped me (or left swipe for next).
    Function would also make sense for Inbox messages view.
