Grindr allows everyone of all gender identities to use such words that have been and still are used to dehumanize members of this vulnerable community. Sexualizing trans peoples’ existence as a whole is harmful in many ways and does lead to real life violence. I think this word is completely fine when used by a consenting trans person, but I do not want to see it, and I know most other trans people I’ve spoken to certainly do not either. It is painful to be reminded of these things currently happening so casually as to be normalized on these platforms and in real life. I would love to see some sort of change regarding this, thank you.
