3. Make receiving Taps more consistent

   There are multiple instances where I get a tap from someone but it does not come through in the Tap section. I can’t see their profile bc they have moved out of my area or they are too far down in the Viewed Me list. This functionality has been inconsistent since the recent updates that have been made to chat and all that.

4. Accessibility criteria

   Give users control over who can access their full profiles and send them taps or messages, according to criteria of their choosing

   For example, I'd like to only receive notifications from 27-47, has a face pic, can accom, etc.

   My profile should appear greyed out to people outwith my criteria to show they're locked out from viewing my full profile and locked out from tapping or messaging me

11. Hi the app recently is not showing or taking forever to load the profile pictures of other users. Can this be fix the soonest?

    I think there's a big because recently profiles or reinstalling the app causes the user to be unable to see those within the vicinity of the user. It's frustrating to not be able to see who you are chatting but the images/pictures are there. It's just that it's not loaded.

13. Better servers/ website developers.

    Sadly this app has taken a huge decrease in accessibility. To be completely honest I know alot of people experienced problem ever since ever since, using the app but we all looked past it because it was a new, cool, in demand and proved to be useful with obtaining users expectations.(I have been a user for over a decade so I can actually provide these legit statements). But it seems throughout the years the app has become less and less substantial and (TBH) less useful due to the constant location problem, and new problems with the chats, pictures and blocking issues..any user I know is going threw these problems which means everyone must be having similar problems. ( I know alot of people on this app.). So what in getting at is m..I feel like Grinder has given up and this maybe their point which is sad but there isn’t many apps that get less and less productive, useful and popular as is what has happened to this app. It’s almost a gay oldie at this point. with the amount of decreased downloads, renewals and so forth. R.I.P Grinder. 😞

16. Compensation Required

    It is most unreasonable that you have embarked on upgrade programs at the expense of your subscribers. There are endless issues with key parts of your app. I have logged many complaints notifying you of bugs & they are very slow in getting resolved (if at all). In many instances I receive a canned response - which is as annoying as the bugs - and to absolutely no avail.

    I believe that you owe subscribers some kind of compensation for having paid for months and months of a disastrously performing app - on basic functionality even. Each upgrade introduces new glitches. This is not acceptable having paid premium rates for using these features.

    This compensation may take a form of:

    1. Credit equivalent to the number of months the app has not been performing

    2. An extension of subscriptions, equivalent to the number of months the app has not been performing

    3. Free upgrade to Without Limit, equivalent to the number of months the app has not been performing

    I am curious to see if I will receive a response to this request, that isn’t canned.

20. Open a Canadian office in Toronto, considered Chicago’s sister city. The LGBTQ life is very different & Canada often launches US products.

    Take equal marriage for example. There was a treaty between Canada and the US that said all marriages would be respected. So the US knew that Canada was the most likely to pass equal marriage first, so they focussed their efforts on getting it legal in Canada so that way it could be challenged in US courts based on the agreement with Canada. It worked and by the time the issue was challenged and reached the US Supreme Court, equal
    Marriage was made legal in spite of Bush’s Defence of Marriage Act (DOMA). There are many instances of this cross border advantage, including most Broadway productions, which launch for a year in Toronto before they ever open in New York so that the show can be tested in a similar market before it goes live on Broadway. And many more examples. Grindr needs to open a Toronto office. I used to work on contract for M4M4Sex in Toronto as the Canadian Country Director of sorts. I then moved to Ottawa to work on Parliament Hill for various elected leaders, but prior to leaving, I made particular note of the apps that were thinking by having a US market, they sufficed regarding Canada.

    Grindr should have its own look and feel for Canada in small ways, and should also focus on the French market, as well as including Canadian information in the profile options. The Canadian Government is not kind to apps that don’t do these things, and it will only get worse when the next Conservative Government is elected. You need to hire someone as a Toronto-based Country Director (not Ottawa, you won’t have enough legislative work to warrant it and it’s a quick 45 minute flight from Toronto anyway), and you need to have a plan to harness the many opportunities that Canada’s pro LGBTQ climate, who should work with whomever you hire for your Government Relations position in Washington. In actual reality, you could probably split a role like that where your US Government Relations person is actually Canadian, because it is often a lot easier to lobby the US when someone is from Canada, because our lobbies are not viewed the same way as all of the American lobbiests. Someone who works part time in Toronto and part time in Washington would make tremendous sense. I’m almost wanting to apply for the position myself as I think about it so I highly encourage Grindr to consider what I’ve said. And please do let me know if you do something like this, I may just consider applying.

    Grindr should also venture into a small production company (film and online video) and it should be in Toronto, as Canadian film credits are much more lucrative than filming in LA. There are many reasons Grindr would benefit from starting its own production company especially in Canada, but we can save that for another time. Best of luck, keep in touch!
