Fix the app
The app fails to send messages ALL the time. Almost as if it's so busy pushing ads, that it fails to serve its own purpose. Sort dumb mistakes like that out, and maybe people would upgrade more often. But I'm not upgrading on an app that doesn't even work.
It does it on EVERY message I send. I have to close the app, then retry the message. EVERY time.38 votes -

Add the ability to manually set your location
It would be nice to be able to choose between having your location be determined automatically by the GPS or have it set manually by the user if needed. This would be a great feature for people who have phones that have a broken GPS. This feature would let people who's GPS doesn't work for whatever reason use Grindr without needing to rely on it for the app to even function properly.

Self-authentication of profile pictures!
Create a feature where an icon appears on people profiles who have self-authenticated themselves. Far too many people catfishing or using other peoples photos.
If the idea of the icon displayed on profiles doesn’t work well, at least have to prove it to grindr themselves before the photos are public. It’s outrageous that other peoples photos from other platforms are being used!

Stop the refresh
The new update is really irritating. Everytime you click out of a profile you are immediately thrown right back to the top of the list. We do not need this option. It makes this dying app even worse than it already is. Remove it asap.

There is a favorites section, where we favorite the people we like, how about another section showing who has saved us a favorite. Think it would be a good ice breaker for chatting or just to see who is really interested. Thoughts?? Happy Grindr-ing !!

Personally I travel around a bit. Would love the ability to group my chats into different cities or have separate folders for when I'm back in that city.

Prevent ‘Fresh’ Screen Abuse
Limit people’s ability to appear on ‘Fresh’ too often. Some people change their pictures frequently or slightly crop them just to appear on ‘Fresh’. It’s SPAM-like. Perhaps limit it to once in a 30-day period.

Nsfw Folder
Sometimes users request nudes, I would like to be able to have a second folder that requires a prompt to access so I don't have to wait to use the app till I'm in private. Right now sharing photos even if it's just something regular means having any downloaded nudes out for people to see from over shoulder.
It's the same for people's profiles, they should get nsfw rates and filtered out if they're being borderline.
Setting never to received lewd pics should auto ban/suspend those who report and gets proven

Recently I've noticed a few bugs in the app, like profiles showing as 'Offline' when they where recently online and wrong profile pictures loading onto profiles without pictures

A 40 to 60 second video slot in the photo slide for a brief self interview so others can see your manurisms, masculinity/femininity. It would help reduce hard feelings as well as help verify the user. It will give the user a chance to display like and dis like and interests or even do a stupid goofy clip.
