The freaking inbox refreshes everytime I tap the 'return' or 'back' button of my phone.
The inbox used to be NOT REFRESHING everytime I go back to my thread list. But NOW IT ALWAYS REFRESHES which irritates the hell out of me. Because I have user profiles that are pinned to top.
Also the RED indicator that shows A NEW MESSAGE has been received shows EVEN IF I DID NOT RECEIVE any messages. It shows as well WHEN I SENT the other user a chat and when I check if there were any chats that I received, to my surprise, there was none.

Grindr is useless (expensive) junk after update, after update, after update.
The entire apps sucks and is obsolete at this point. You used to be able to browse the unattractive profiles 50 miles away from you. Now. You have to pay over 10 dollars just to be able to message people I DONT WANT TO TALK TO. F grindr and f every one of the mentally disabled employees that chose to work there and never make progress for a better app. Pure shite. Every button, every click, is an ad trap. Every profile is locked. Completely useless after a decade. Absolutely embarrassed for grindr.

Clarify profile option for personal identity and search filters
Make it easier for users to identify themself and others
Many uses "Tribe" as either "i am a....", "looking for..." or both.
Example, Cis identifying men will appear under "trans" tribe filter, and vice versa, since this is not made clear to many users.Soultion: make changes"Tribe" and "looking for" options

"Unblock users" not working
The "Unblock users" feature is glitched and is not working. It stopped working for like 1 day, then it magically fixed itself. A couple days later, it went kaput again. Now it's been 3 days and it's still taking a shit. One of COUNTLESS issues on this godforsaken app. I pay for Unlimited. This app is unbelievably BROKEN. Thanks for siphoning my money and giving me hot shit in return!

Why doesn't the app have a prostitution option...? just an honest question...
Some people who are struggling have no options so we need a make money option that makes sense in how it sounds but also be the right wording even though some people think it's offensive some people find it comforting to have their own label everyone should at least have a chance to be themselves in the app as the whole world can be themselves...

Make a better and modern app
Hello have you thought about improving the experience in the app? Most apps have updated everything to the year 2024 and the truth Grindr looks very old and I'm not just saying it myself, also friends and people who use Grindr, please make a more interactive app that people can upload stories, upload videos something more like tik tok or Instagram really consider updating it.

Your update is terrible
This last update is the worst!! messages that take hours to appear, impossible to refresh the grind, messages that do go, taps take forever…. It really sucks!!

Photo Verification
So many scammers nowadays, they will started with a ‘hi’ and ask our preferences (boyfriend or friend), then they will tell that it’s not convenient to talk through this app. I don’t know what they are up to, but it’s getting annoying and very exhausting. I am trying to find the real ones here, not a scammers. Please do some kind of verification to prove that the owner of the account is the real person and not a scammer, maybe you can start with a ‘photo verification’, to check if the person is real or not. Or maybe any other…

Messaging
I think that Grindr needs to do multiple things in the messaging features. The first would be able to select multiple messages and delete them at once. It’s very time consuming when you have to swipe and delete ever message. Secondly, Grindr should be able to implement a feature that you can filter individuals who haven’t messaged you back, so then you can bulk delete those individual messages. The last thing would to make the app free again. This app has just gotten worse with time and it’s not a great app anymore.

Make the iOS version able to change notifications sound!
I’ve heard Droid users can change the sound for notifications, those of us with iPhones can’t, wth?!

Data saving mode??
For those of us who don't have access to WiFi, why not implement a data saving mode? No unlimited mobile data here and Grindr uses crazy amount of data (1GB within 4 days)
