1. Review pricing

   The pricing on your subscription tiers is far beyond what most people can reasonably afford. Xtra was already expensive, but the new Edge pricing is on another level entirely. How does $150 per month or $330 per quarter on sale, and $350 per month or $770 per quarter regular price, make sense?

   To put that into perspective:

   • Paying monthly comes out to $1,800 per year on sale or $4,200 per year at regular price.
   • Paying quarterly still totals $1,320 per year on sale or $3,080 per year at regular price.

   For comparison, as of July 2nd, Grindr stock closed at $16.06. Someone could buy 100 shares of Grindr for life for $1,606 — which is still cheaper than one year of Edge at the “sale” monthly rate.

   These prices exceed many people’s insurance premiums, car payments, and even some rent or mortgage costs. I doubt most Grindr employees could comfortably afford these subscription levels. With so many people struggling to keep a roof over their head, put gas in their car, and buy groceries, this pricing feels completely disconnected from real-world economic conditions.

   Please reevaluate your pricing strategy. Your marketing and pricing teams need a reality check on what users can actually afford while maintaining company profitability. There should be a pricing level for Grindr to be highly successful while not gauging or taking loyal customers for granted. Additionally, making it more affordable may provide you the same level or greater levels of profitability by volume. Thank you for your consideration and time.

   When we download a new photo in grindr, can we have the order and arrangement of the previous pictures list stay the same? And only change the first 3 at the top or something like that. Because when we reach the point of having a lot of pictures, we remember where each one of them are with visual memory so we can find them quickly after a little time or learning. Therefore it requires our brain to learn a new location for every picture each time we add a new one.. It could be way more confortable if adding a new photo would not change the whole order, or if the change would only concern the 3 ones at the top or something like that.

    I think it could be useful if Grindr had a small health and wellness resource section for users. People use the app to connect with others and build social relationships, and having access to useful health information could add another helpful resource to the platform.

    One area that could be useful is information about staying active and taking care of the body. Many people experience problems such as back pain, neck pain, shoulder discomfort, sports injuries, or pain after an accident. It is not always easy to know when professional physiotherapy or another form of healthcare could be helpful.

    A simple health resource section could include information about:

    Managing common muscle and joint pain
    Exercise and injury prevention
    Recovery after sports injuries
    Tips for maintaining healthy daily activity
    When to consider speaking with a healthcare professional
    General physiotherapy and rehabilitation information

    It could also provide links to trusted healthcare providers and recognised health organisations so users can find additional information when needed.

    For example, a physiotherapy clinic such as Momentum Spine & Sport Physiotherapy Clinic provides information about physiotherapy services for sports injuries, back and neck pain, shoulder problems, motor vehicle accident injuries, and other physical concerns.

11. Add OR Operator to Search Filters

    It would be great to have the possibility to combine search filters using an OR operator, in addition to the current AND behavior.

    At the moment, when multiple filters are applied, the search returns only results that match all of the selected filters.

    For example, if I search using:

    • Filter A
    • Filter B

    the current behavior is:

    Filter A AND Filter B: results matching both filters.

    It would be useful to also have the option to search for:

    Filter A OR Filter B: results matching at least one of the two filters.

    This would make the search functionality much more flexible, especially when looking for results that can belong to different categories or match different criteria.

    Ideally, the user could choose between AND and OR when applying multiple filters.

12. Bring back the favorites tab

    Every time I press my favorites now as a filter it doesn’t load the profiles, I have to close and reopen the app and when eventually it shows my favorites, the profile pictures don’t appear. Thus it’s super buggy and very difficult to use

    To prevent fake profiles from being problem, all you have to do is allow users to block profiles with no geo tag.

    My neighbour is constantly bombarding me with fake pictures and requests. And I often miss that he has no GPS. Fake profiles and impersonators always have their location turned off.

15. The Right now and Boost buttons are placed in a terrible place and it’s been twice now that Right now was accidentally launched.

    These buttons are in a terrible location and they shouldn’t be on the grid. I don’t know if you have done this on purpose or not because mine get used accidentally. If you’re going to put it there, I think you should allow people to be able to cancel it without any credit or loss to the account if done so within a couple of minutes.

    I would possibly be interested in trying a subscription but the price would need to come down some and second I as a customer would want optuons available such as a one time payment for a month, for three months or maybe six months. With NO further automatic payments being deducted ir charged. I am not sorry to say this but the amounts you are charging now are off the hook and seem very greedy to me. I subscribed to another sevice for a one time payment of 40 dollars and I got 6 months for that. I can't even fathom paying what you are charging now. There is no way I would be interested in paying weekly or having any kund of recurrinf payments.
