Discreet guys and down low guys should not have to post a face pic on their profile for privacy reasons I'm discreet and I don't show my face pic on my profile just because I have a homophobic family and I don't want someone in my family to see a profile pic of me on Grindr this is my private life there's a important reason why we don't show our face pics on our profiles and I will never have a profile face pic never never

Stop app cloning! Stop mock location and implement unlimited blocks
Disgrace of an app.
Firstly. Lets talk about everything the app allows, and the complete disregard to users safety!
All this fake location shenanigans! Firstly. Please don’t pretend you don’t allow it. You disallow it for freshly made profiles, then after a week you are good to go! And allow people to move their profiles at will.
Secondly! You again “Allow” the use of sandboxing! Where users are making multiple clones of the Grindr app itself, that not only allows users to make an unlimited amount of profiles (clones) that can run simultaneously and at any location they choose, but…

Free now Icon
An icon you can click that displays on your profile to say you are looking to meet right now. Only to stay active for 1 hour, but gives you an idea of who is actually free and not at work etc

Language/country filter
It would be great if there was a filter that allowed you to search for people by the country they are from and the language they speak.
The world is multicultural and residency is fluid. It would be brill to be able to go to another country on holiday and find someone who speaks a common language or indeed in your home country to find a particular country where you might have an affinity.

Important suggestion
There needs to be more characters added to the about me section also a place to put your website in to the app because there is a section for music, but some people don’t have Spotify and some people wanna share their music just like Spotify but on the website, so please put a field for websites You can put a porno restriction on it if you want some people are not looking for hook ups they are just looking for love underneath it. All grinder should evolve to be more for love, or a section needs to be created…

Distance control
It’s ridiculous that the tenth person I’m shown is always 200 miles away. I’m in an area with plenty enough population that there should be plenty more choices which better match my preferences all within a reasonable distance (There’s no improvement when I’m in a different city or one with increased population either). I can’t believe there’s not another app that hasn’t already over taken Grindr. This is such a bad user experience.

Use driving/walking distance instead or straight line
I think that the distance shown should be derived from walking or driving distance and not a straight line from point to point.
This would help me out a lot. I live on the bank of a canyon. There are guys about 700 meters from me on the other side. But it's a 35 minute drive to get to them. And they fill my grid so that I don't see many other guys that are really only a 10 or 15 minute walk from me.

Face Verified Photos w/ an option to still hide the face
Requiring people to set a profile picture with their face on it just to get verified can be too much for a lot of private guys.
To still provide them the privacy while allowing them to show that their profile pictures are theirs to some extent, Grindr could enable face verification by:
- Have users upload a photo with face
- Verify if the photo has their face through proper selfie verification
- Allow users to only display the cropped version of the verified photo for privacy
- Display a verification mark for each verified photos (regardless whether the user opted to crop the…

picture appears in chat outside of album
i don’t think if i show someone my private album when they hit the like button they shouldnt appear anywhere other than in my private album. it’s private for a reason then people can snap pics and such of the pictures and it’s like your allowing them to save your private pictures ! it pisses me off every time you show someone your private pics then they go thru n like them all and they’re saved

Change my account from Apple ID to android system smartphone
Register my current account by Apple ID without password, but now that is a trouble that i changing my iPhone to android smartphone now that i wanted to use this account And chat history to continue my grindr journey with my new android phone .

Chat delete options
An option to clear chats that are older than a certain age (eg 3 months, 6moths etc.) Also being able to delete chats from deleted profiles. storing so many old chats on my phone requires a decent amount of storage and it's a hassle to delete chats individually.

Reduce ad time
The ads last for stupid amount of time and advertise crap like candy crush. It is more than 3 times faster and a better user experience to just close the app completely and restart it. Honestly I feel better closing the app. Is that the kind of UX that you want your users to have? To feel good when they close the app? Because that's what's happening. 😅

Any account that reaches an account with no response or auto block should be monitored for community violations or potential harassment spam
Community standards safety
Warnings should be issued so they stop and people don’t feel bad about not interested forced replies or actual spam …. Comments review for problems to accurately catch the spam or fraud account. A hello twice is no harrasment a hello the next day. muktiple request is likely spam or a pitential warn or removal see history safety bot
