Would you want your child around unverified accounts?
Grindr, why are so many fake profiles allowed on here? So many profiles without even a picture? Who are you letting create profiles? I don't think you understand but there are so many sickos, creeps, or overall ill intended users on here who aren't here for a "hookup". The app needs to have some form of verification. Make sure these users are using the correct location where they are, and verify the user with a picture matching their profile picture. Choosing who is allowed to message you.
We should have a feature that allows all users to have a “request for chat” button. That way we are not bombarded with messages and pictures we didn’t consent to. It would promote a more organized inbox and enable people to sort through who they want to talk to and who they don’t. We would get a notification where we can press accept or decline and when decline that person won’t show up on our feed and vice versa. Adding More Local Business Promotions for Community Events
Hey Grindr team,
I love how Grindr connects people, but I think it would be great to have more features supporting local businesses and community events. Many LGBTQ+ gatherings, pride events, and social meetups involve food vendors and catering services, and having a way to highlight these businesses could be beneficial.

Neurodivergent Tribe/Tag Something
It’s really helpful to find people that match, mirror, or are relatable such as ASD, ADHD, OCD, etc. These individuals usually want or desire peers that will relate or be aligned with their communication style. I know you can’t really list diagnoses and conditions, but neurotypical and neurodivergent are tribes that help each other find each other and often. If not tribe, please make something for this. It’s challenging having to explain something that only peers will truly understand in experience. I’m cool with all people, but it helps add to comfort and safety.

Filter who can message you
Why is there not a pre filtering system, you can set up who you want to see, why can't that be applied to who can interact with you? Why do I need to 'hide' hundreds of guys a week who just delete their account, make a new one and do it again the next day it's absolutely agonizing Fab has had this for ages it's ludicrous it's not on here already.

This can be a safe space if...
This app is being used by people to commit crimes, harass, and bully others online. It would be great if we could report profiles that do this, even if they've blocked us. I often get hate messages, and the sender blocks me as soon as they see I've read them, before I can even respond. Being able to report and remove or even block their MAC address or these accounts would make the app safer.

App is overrun with spambots abusing tap feature
As per the title, I'm finding Grindr to be increasingly unpleasant to use due to a dramatic uptick recently in fake profiles which are abusing the tap function in order to generate user engagement and funnel traffic to social media sites.
The spam bots are incredibly easy to spot. For the most part they tap you without having viewed your profile, they typically only have one or two photos, they use the same 3-5 bios, and they link to a known set of social media accounts. They also tend to reuse the same photos.

Find a way to for you guys anyway for you guys to get a hold of the VPN number or whatever of the person who recently blocked you from being able to see them in case of hackers trying to scam you out of money because there’s been several times where I’ve disclosed pictures or whatever you know and shut them down

BLOCK ANYONE
Why get rid of the block feature, even guys that have interacted with me I CANT BLOCK. So dumb. There are so many reasons why we need to be able to block who ever when ever. The community is small and someone we don’t want to be seen by a certain person. Not to mention creeps that constantly annoy you. LET US BLOCK WHOEVER.

Filtering who can contact me
I’d like to suggest adding contact filters that allow users to control who can message them.
The idea is to let everyone set basic criteria, such as age range, position preference, intent, distance, or verified profiles; so that only people who meet those filters can initiate a chat.
This would reduce harassment, make interactions more relevant, and improve overall safety on the platform. Many similar apps already include this kind of functionality, and it greatly enhances user comfort and satisfaction.

Reporting people without unblocking their profile. This should be a no brainer.
Simply that. If i block someone cuz theyre trying to blackmail me or harass me, i should be able to report them while they are blocked. Unblocking them to report just enables the potential for more harm, chats are deleted so i gotta search for the profile... its ridiculous and a HUGE safety issue.
