I agree. I am constantly harassed and stalked while people hide behind their keyboards with the protection of easy anonymity. I have been to the police for going on like 6 maybe more years. I've been stalked down to the like 5-10 feet away which means they were on the property. I've received 2 death threats just this year. The only reasons I keep the app are just for the preservation of raw data and also because I have to investigate through snippets of behavior and language people use while harassing me.
I've also been relapsing a bit all due to the stress and where is the perfect place to find crystal meth fast and free? Grindr!!!!!!!
Otherwise I would not be on this app at all and Sniffies is worst with anonymity and the stalking. It's absolutely crazy.
There needs to be more legislation with safeguarding users of these platforms.

I agree that this should be like priority. But I hope you went to police. Your data only disappeared from your immediate access. With a subpoena they will be able to get your data and and message content. When digital data gets created, it stays.
I'm sorry for happened to you by the way.

Yes your right. So your issue should address the concern of email verification isn't required. How does the block or hide feature take get rid of multiple accounts.

What grunting noise are you people even talking about? I have only ever heard the typical tapping sound (sounds like one woodpecker peck lol) since the rollout of the app on 2009. Same as their standard message sound. Also note for Android users, you can customize all three of the notification sounds
Messages, taps, video callsYou are just unaware that there are two ways in which you can customize your notifications on Android. Actually 3 ways I think.

But? Do you have backend insight into the difference between the two? You can also block and unblock just as in having the same ability to do so with the "hide" feature. They both have the same outcomes.... Why am I the only person who even sees this? You just can't block someone until a conversation has been initiated. But if you want to get the same effects that blocking... You just simply have to hit hide before they message you. If they message you first then you can get the same effects because them the block feature is available.
Either way you can still blockhide them.
They did not remove a feature. I'm not sure for the exact reason that compelled the differentiation? What will get the bad actors and psychos off of Grindr, or significantly made it less of a comfortable place for them while hiding behind their little keyboards---to have email verification and phone number requirement.

It has not cost money to block on Grindr in a long time.... You both realize this right?? Lol

I've never experienced this. Maybe it's a programming bug.
But there is no difference in blocking someone to hiding them. I understand that your concern is just the function not working properly??

What makes you think there is any difference? Isn't the whole reason of blocking or hiding the profile just so you don't have to see them online and they you also not appear on their grid? Why are you assuming that there is any difference? A lot of people are having this concern yet I'm not sure I even follow what they're complaining about???
Why? I mean why tap in the first place man? And doesn't the tap only last a day or something? I don't get what the big issue of tapping someone but not meaning it?
