Using "Right Now" by mistake.
The "Right Now" feature on Grindr is great for quick connections, but its instant activation from a single tap on the home screen has created a problem, specially for big bears with big fingers like me. Users often accidentally activate the 60-minute session, and since it's a paid feature, this results in unwanted charges and frustration.
To fix this, I suggest implementing a confirmation pop-up before the "Right Now" session actually starts. This would give users a chance to confirm their intent, preventing accidental spending.
Here's an example of what the pop-up text could look like:
Are you sure you want to activate "Right Now"?
Activating "Right Now" will start a 60-minute session and may incur a charge/use one charge.
[Cancel] [Activate]
This small addition would significantly improve the user experience, offering both control and transparency. It would also prevent wasted credits or charges from accidental taps.

The problem are by the right now button when scrolling. It can activate by the slightest touch.
Solution would normally be adding an additional yes/no future, do you wanna activate RightNow?.
Or make so it goes to make the right now post page, where that page are not activating right now before you push post and then have the possibility to cancel activation. My app are already on newest version.
Phone details Samsung Galaxy S23 on Android 16.Problem have been since the future with right now where introduced.

It’s very annoying that even without touching the “right now” it activate itself and lunches unused session, creating stress. Despite writing the support teams since a year they decide to still do nothing to fix this bug. Hopefully with this form they listen and create a confirmation step similar to boost to avoid this issue.
Alternative Idee, is that one can turn off the „right now“ and the timer stop and need to be consumed within 24h since sometimes no one is around for „right now“ or it was activated on its own. -
