What are these comments about using Mock Locations to stalk people? That could only work if users can't change their location - forcing them to reveal where they are while using the app. Stalkers can just drive around your area to triangulate your location - they don't need Mock Locations - that's the whole concern.
You don't need to know someone's exact location to discuss what you're both into. But a stalker does need your location to know when you're at work, school, home (or away from home).
And if you deny Grindr your location permissions, they'll deny you access to the app. It's that simple. The grid is made up of all the guys right next to you.

Sniffies uses Mock Locations with no problem. There's a little Airplane Icon and everything. Works great.

If they can't find you, they can't stalk you.

Hiding your location is essential for people who want to protect their privacy from those they live and work with.
This app forces you to dox yourself constantly to use it.
Others at work or nearby neighbors now have access to your profile and location.
It's so much easier to be targeted for harassment now (or worse).
    Totally unsafe.

There are still a lot of DL guys on the app. And not being able to change your location means it's very easy for someone to create a new account and identify who in their dorm or apartment complex are on the app, before they have a chance to block you.

It would be nice to offset your location so people can't just walk right up to your place and identify who you are and that you're using the app.

    This is a huge problem.
The spammers and catfishers can use the Block feature to prevent you from reporting them.

Blocking should only prevent messages from being sent back and forth. It shouldn't prevent you from reporting abuse, or being able to identify or screenshot the abuse that took place.
