100% agree these pop up adds are ridiculous and unnecessary I’ve hardly been using the app since these started as soon as the pop ups come up I am closing the app. I don’t need forced advertisements for games on an app like this!

I click X on the ad....but instead of closing the ad, it takes me through to the advertiser's site?
That's literally not how it's supposed to work, what a misleading UX...

Grindr might need your money or that of the advertisers, but please….
This is a simple app, easy to write, now it’s a publicly traded company.
I hope you all consider rewriting the poorly optimized and buggy code if not the entire app.
Functionality and UI have barely changed since the first release…. What has changed is the app’s stability, regressions and other defects are everywhere. The app, as currently implemented, is using more memory than necessary, and the memory leaks constantly crash the app.I could create a fast version with the identical user interface in a month or two. If I thought I could get everyone to give it a try, I know it would replace Grindr. ************Hell, Craigslist was better, faster, easier, and more effective than Grindr until they stopped allowing personals.*************
Does anyone anywhere even play those stupid games?

after replying to a message. Just ridiculously annoying. -

It is so invasive. I u ser stand you need to make money on the free accounts but come in. You are not dealing with stupid user, if yiu force us to see that full screen, no body will buy it. Put a banner on the top, i we like we will buy it!!

The ads are of hard-core man on man bondage scenes. If you feel this is sexual harassment like I do. Contact me. I'm curious about suing. Jennabusygirl@gmail.com

Yes yes...please stop spamming us with forced pop up ads and blocking the app screen, this can lead to your device freezing up and not being able to function without restarting.

The blank ad box makes it impossible to see chat messages when the keyboard is open. This has to be removed

Like Spotify and Pandora do, it would be nice to have the option to watch a short commercial for 30-60 seconds to disable ads for 30-60 mins.

Video ads cause severe lag. Add option to deactivate moving ads. The ads pre-load in the background and cause Grindr to freeze up and/or severely lag. I have to close the app and re-open it every 3-5 minutes because my phone and the app become completely unusable.

The free version already has banner ads, and message ads it does not need full screen ads. When I am listening to music or an audiobook these Fullscreen ads interrupt music, podcast, and books on services that I pay to have not ads on to play disruptive audio for a ad about a slots game I don't give a crap about. What is worse is the other service is stopped and does not resume. When ever full screen ad pops up and interrupts my music or book. I make it a point to force quit the application and I do not sign back in for hours at minimum, weeks at most.
Stick to banner ad's if you don't, I will likely end up not using Grindr going forward. Grindr has awesome features worth paying for when I have the money, but I won't be tempted to pay for your good features if obtrusive ads chase me away.
