Yes yes...please stop spamming us with forced pop up ads and blocking the app screen, this can lead to your device freezing up and not being able to function without restarting.

Like Spotify and Pandora do, it would be nice to have the option to watch a short commercial for 30-60 seconds to disable ads for 30-60 mins.

The free version already has banner ads, and message ads it does not need full screen ads. When I am listening to music or an audiobook these Fullscreen ads interrupt music, podcast, and books on services that I pay to have not ads on to play disruptive audio for a ad about a slots game I don't give a crap about. What is worse is the other service is stopped and does not resume. When ever full screen ad pops up and interrupts my music or book. I make it a point to force quit the application and I do not sign back in for hours at minimum, weeks at most.
Stick to banner ad's if you don't, I will likely end up not using Grindr going forward. Grindr has awesome features worth paying for when I have the money, but I won't be tempted to pay for your good features if obtrusive ads chase me away.

Ok I'm sick of your ads, I can't even take half of them down even if I wait, there's literally no X or skip buttons so every time I even get a ad now I just close the app and forget about whatever conversion I was having
no fucks given, your app has become horrible, can't even exit a ad after its done -

Everytime I click on or out of a profile I have to sit through the longest ads ever. It's honestly ridiculous. Remove all ads especially the ones for naked women. You do not see gay ads on straight sites so why should we suffer. As a GAY man on a GAY app I do not want to see tits and vagina

Why can't the ads be shown only as a banner at the very top of the screen instead of blocking the whole soght of the app to show ads all the freeking time.

I've noticed a problematic new ad format that makes skipping over the ad to continue using the app impossible. (I am running Android.)
The ad begins by showing one of several mobile games and requires you to watch for a certain amount of time. (I hate this, but whatever, I get you have to make your money). The problem is that after the time is up, the ad only shows one button, and that button takes you to the app store. Touching any part of the screen also takes you straight to the app store.
So every time an ad like this appears, I have to close the app and reopen it. Surely this is not how you want the user experience to be.

The ads are getting quite aggressive nowadays. One ad every 5 min on the app and the ad is 30 seconds long. As long as the app has such a huge premium paying customers, either reduce the price or get rid of the ads. Soon people will migrate to other apps and you'll loose the paying customers too.

please ban these ads ... if you don't do something i will have to delete the app and use a similar one. Scruff ... gay romeo ... adam ... tinder ...

The new ads are extremely annoying and I don't pay attention to them one bit. All your ads suck but I'd rather have the non-aggressive ads that don't automatically pop up the play store. If you're trying to make free Grindr unbearable so we pay it's not working. Scruff is free and sniffies is actually worth paying for. You should take some tips from them.

Im here to complain about this too. If we can't easily block all these fake profiles that are rampant on Grindr, I'm going back to scruff.
In addition, if there are this many trans profiles out there - is that not proof they should and COULD HAVE started their own app instead of hijacking the gay men's one?
Let us block people so we can use the app.

I understand that the block feature is unlimited now, but it is very tiring to always receive a double ad after each usage it.
At times there is even that type of ad that won’t go away after 5-10 sec if you don’t interact with it.
And I understand the need to get revenue in order to support the platform and keep it free for all, but it’s becoming tiresome.
If other features would be in place to help prevent stalkers or problematic users that create fake accounts and spam you 24/7, then I wouldn’t have an issue with 1 block = 1 ad, because I won’t use it at all.
Instead why not make the first 10-15 blocks per day (or whatever number is more optimal, based on statistics and country relevance) ads free, after which you get the ads per each block you do.
At this point, grindr is more of a promotional platform for ads than an app. for socializing and meeting people. Thanks

Advertising is fine and necessary for a free app. But the ads make sounds when the phone is silent, they take you to the app store even if you close them. In short, they are very annoying and cause you to close the app every time they appear.

There is an ad every time you click a profile every time you block someone every time you favorite someone literally every turn there is an ad and it comes out of nowhere full screen full volume super loud it is annoying it is obnoxious inappropriate and distracting it is even almost caused an accident to the person who was driving me somewhere so therefore it is also lawsuit worthy! Get rid of the damn ads or you'll be hearing from my lawyer or somebody else's lawyer One ad per day that is muted is fine. Y'all need to get your app under control and get rid of the bots get rid of the spam and the gif messages, lower your rates to where they're more acceptable more people will subscribe, and when I hit send message I expect it to send and be delivered not freeze and turn red I swear Grindr has more bugs and issues than a hospital has diseased people You guys used to be good back in the day and now you're just trash hot dumpster fire trash. Another great thing is if grinder could go back to being men only I don't know how many times I've seen an actual female on grinder it's weird it's obnoxious and it's just taking that much space from all the other possibilities that can be on there face pictures should also be required no more blank profiles absolutely zero tolerance for it You guys should also have absolute zero tolerance for drug use in any way shape or form You know how many people I have constantly offering me illegal substances meth heroin crystal meth it's disgusting Grindr is the place you go to have sex get drugs and potentially murdered get your shit fixed or receive a lawsuit within the next 30 days I'm done fucking around!

Stop making me click twice. It just pisses me off and makes me more determined to NEVER buy from the advertiser.
Also stop forcing me to wait till the end of an ad.
Stop interrupting me with ads. I seriously never pay attention. You're fooling yourselves and cheating your advertisers by increasing the accidental clicks.
You NEVER win when you coerce people! Ever hear of consent? If you have to coerce people to pay attention, you're NOT desirable. Fix the ad or the product.
Rule #1 is associate a positive emotion with your product.
Advertising is about ENTICING not ANNOYING people.
Instead, insert ads among the faces like you do among the messages. I (and everybody else) always click on what entices me. 1 ad profile every 10 guys maybe. You have to make it enticing, not ANNOYING.
Create a searchable 'page' or category or whatever to list ALL the ads there. People LOVE perusing through shops to see what's available and to know who supports our community. Build it, they will come!
I would go to that page on purpose and shop!
Stop annoying people.

Remove double Ads, two in a row. I understand an ad supported, free model; however two ads in a row are annoying and does anyone pay any attention to the second one that you can skip in one second. Probaly a different price for advertisers, but I would rather see more single adds than two in a row.
