Keep the distance in as an option KM
The distance should have their own unit options, as some countries uses Imperial for weight and height but metric for distance (KM)

Why do I care about people over 200km away? I KNOW there are folks nearby, fix it so I can see THEM. Then I will start paying again. Waste of money to talk with people in other provinces. What's the point?

message widget covers images
that "say something" and "answer now" text input widgets are always covering the lower part of the image I'm viewing, I cannot hide it. Please let me swipe them away or hide them at all.

Don’t hide top bar on iOS
When I am in the explore view I usually find myself have to work out the way to see the top bar. Where is my profile and filters for the explorer section.
It doesn’t seem to take that much of a space from my device, and I think I would prefer to have it fixed at the same point all the time so that I can use the options available there at any time without having to scroll down. Scroll up scroll down, scroll down.
I cannot see the justification for this behavior from the user experience perspective.16 votes -

IT'S BEEN FUCKING YEARS. CODE A DAMN APP AND MAYBE I'LL THINK ABOUT PAYING $20-$40 ON IT. FUCK YOU GRINDR.
I CAN'T THINK OF ANY PLATFORM WHO'S SOUL PURPOSE IS TO SEND MESSAGES AND CAN'T COMPLETE THEM HALF THE TIME. I COULD UNDERSTAND IF A MESSAGE EVERY NOW AND AGAIN GLITCHES, BUT JFC IT'S LIKE HALF THE DAMN MESSAGES. COME ON GRINDR, YEARS HAVE GONE BY AND I KNOW I'M NOT THE ONLY PERSON WITH THIS ISSUE. HAVE SOME FUCKING RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AS A BUSINESS AND THE USERS WHO SUPPORT YOU.

Location sync issue and other errors.
The application does not refresh the location correctly, even though you are already 5 km away, it still shows as if I were in an earlier place. There are also problems with sending messages that will not be sent until you reset the application and try to send messages again, or the problem of displaying profiles for an unspecified reason, in which case a restart may not even help.

3. Added functionality to detect and verify inappropriate user behavior, including in messages.
Currently, the correct verification of people on the application is practically non-existent, every second person proposes drugs, very dangerous sex that can end in tragedy, disgusting suggestions that go beyond the healthy thinking of others, they cheat by sending incorrect photos or give the wrong age, they offer to sell various things or trips abroad for high earnings, advertise products, use the account through external programs to cheat in the location.

Improvements in locating profiles.
Currently, the application claims that users are 1-3km away, then suddenly they are 8-9km away, and then only 150-250km away, which is not true because if I am physically in a different place, it turns out that there are others users not originally seen from my home location. Even if this situation is improved in the paid versions, because I don't know, it would be rude to pay for the correct operation of an even basic function.

Change “my place”, “your place” filter option to “their place” “my place”.
Current filtering options are not clear on what they’re filtering due to language used
