Blocking multiple messages at a time
Having the possibility to block multiple convo./messages at once. (Multi select).

fake profiles
To prevent fake profiles from being problem, all you have to do is allow users to block profiles with no geo tag.
My neighbour is constantly bombarding me with fake pictures and requests. And I often miss that he has no GPS. Fake profiles and impersonators always have their location turned off.

Feature Request: Strengthen Community Safety Through Enhanced Reporting, Fraud Prevention, and Law Enforcement Cooperation
I appreciate Grindr's efforts to improve user safety. However, in many regions, especially India, users continue to encounter serious criminal activity on the platform, including drug dealing, financial scams, impersonation, underage users, prostitution, trafficking, and other illegal activities.
As someone who has personally experienced financial scams through Grindr, I believe the platform can do much more to protect genuine users and restore confidence in the community.
1. Expand Report Categories
Please include dedicated reporting options for:
Drug dealing or distribution
Financial scam / Fraud
Underage user
Human trafficking or exploitation
Prostitution / Solicitation
Blackmail or extortion

Prevent AI images uploading
Uploading of AI generated or modified photos should be disallowed. Easy to detect via image metadata. More difficult for scammers and bots to upload such photo.

Generic Notifications
We already have the option for a Discreet App Icon, which is chef's kiss. We need a setting where you can make notifications generic, too. That way we can know someone's messaging us, but the entire world doesn't have to know it's from Grindr

Fixing Album Privacy: Mutual Unlocks and Anti-Ghosting Safeguards
My biggest problem with the app is how the album feature works. Sometimes someone refuses to show me their album, maybe because I'm not their type or because they know me personally, but they still get to look at mine if i shared first. This feels very unfair. It would be much better and fairer if the app had a rule where nobody can open my album unless they have also shared their album with me first. Additionally, to prevent people from just looking and immediately blocking, the app should not allow users to block each other until both albums…

Enhanced Privacy for Notifications and Discreet App Identity
Hi Grindr Team,
I’m using Grindr on an iPhone 15, and I have two major concerns regarding notifications and privacy.
Custom notification sounds: When I’m using the app, the notification sound I selected in Grindr’s settings works correctly. However, when I’m not using the app, incoming notifications play the default Grindr notification sound instead. This can make people around me suspicious that I’m using Grindr. Please allow users to use their selected notification sound even when the app is running in the background.

“Face verification to confirm original identity”
Please add a face verification or blue tick feature for real users. Many users with genuine profile pictures are still seen as fake because there is no proper verification badge. A verification system would help users identify authentic profiles, reduce fake accounts, and improve trust and safety on the app.

"Guardian Mode" to protect users in vulnerable markets.
In regions where LGBTQIA+ individuals face severe social stigma and limited legal support, bad actors frequently misuse Grindr for sextortion, forced outing, and setup robberies. I am requesting the implementation of a targeted safety suite called "Guardian Mode" to protect users in vulnerable markets.
Key Proposed Capabilities:
1. Dynamic Recipient Watermarking: Overlay recipient-specific account IDs onto shared media and enforce strict native screenshot blocking to prevent blackmail.
2. One-Tap "Purge & Preserve": An automated threat detection trigger that packages encrypted chat logs (for evidence) and instantly wipes the chat while unmatching, cutting off an extortionist's leverage.

I think Grindr should consider adding a Verified Sexual Health Status feature where users have to submit recent testing documentation when creating or updating their account, including HIV, gonorrhea, and chlamydia, with testing dates and relevant sites such as oral/throat or rectal testing. Instead of showing private medical paperwork, Grindr could display a verified checkmark with the date of verification and remind users when their testing is outdated. Someone can be HIV-negative or say they are “clean” while still having another STI, sometimes without symptoms, so having more complete and recent information could help sexually active users make more informed…

Notation
Hello, I would like to propose a safety rating system for people who meet each other. Each time they meet, they would mutually scan a QR code to rate their interaction.
This system could help people who have narrowly escaped an assault, as well as other potential victims, share their experiences and identify potentially dangerous individuals. The goal would be to raise awareness of risky profiles, prevent ambushes and traps, and help protect people from potential assaults.

Stop enabling racism.
There are so many racist here and you’re letting it happen. I know that you can’t control what people say or do but you can put measures like codes, rules/policy (enforceable ones) to prevent that from happening. Unfortunately some gay people think they deserve love from the world while continuing to be bigots and racists. Some are hiding under “preferences mask” it’s possible to create a better platform that could catch those coded racism and ban them even if they open a different account

Verifying identity. This will protect all users and eliminate fake profile and profiles that try to exploit users like myself for money.
Suggested Feature: Verified Identity for All Users
I’d like to suggest that Grindr implement mandatory identity verification for every account. Many other platforms already use facial verification or ID checks to confirm that users are real people. A similar system on Grindr would significantly improve user safety.
Verified identities could help:
- Reduce fake and impersonation accounts.
- Prevent scammers and extortion attempts.
- Make it much harder for banned users to create new accounts.
- Better protect minors by helping verify users’ ages.
- Increase trust and confidence when people interact on the platform.
