Chats backup
I have been using same grindr xtra account from last six months on android mobile, and recently switched to iOS device and got to know that there is no way to restore chats across platforms. This is really frustrating. Atleast paid users should have this facility to restore chats across platforms. And how to do is to be figure out by you guys. Talk to both platform owners, take approvals, design the system but this facility should be available everywhere. You should be able to add your own tags and they would only be visible to the people who use the same tag

Lower subscription
Good day, so in South Africa the Rand is very weak and as such the R300 for Xtra is really a lot of money for most people. Don't get me wrong I understand it takes a lot of money to run this platform.
Might I suggest an entry-level subscription of R100 a month, I am sure many people will opt for that option, you can perhaps just have less features than Xtra but perhaps remove ads, a couple more profiles and some advanced filters.

Already reached out indicator
once texted somebody, the app should give an indicator that the person has been texted not just in the last 24 hours, but historically so that sometimes when we like somebody very much and they don’t like us back, we know that we shouldn’t text him again because they're clearly not interested but when we don’t know the person has texted or not, we end up replying to their profile pictures, or giving a tap, even though we have already reached out to them before and been ignored, and that makes us look a lot more desperate and makes the…

Limited access for unpaid members
Not everyone can afford the multiple services Grindr has on its app. For years, Grindr has been no 1 for gay dating and hookups. But like everything else, it is fast becoming limited in use.
Again, access to at least 100 profiles should be warranted. The advertisers I m sure cover much of Grinders profits and can easily continue serving the gay and bi communities without harsh limitations.16 votes -

Profile pics rotation
Function to set uploaded pics on rotation for set amount of time. For example one of you pics would come on yop of the list every few hours or once day automatically.

Disable Album Sharing Notification
When one stops sharing their album it should not send a notification to the person it was shared with. This has led to individuals messaging and asking why I stopped. Once and album is no longer shared it should just not be visible

Set a cruiseship as location
A lot of gays love cruising on cruiseships but as soon as a ship is not in a port, the users cannot be located anymore. It would be great if you could for example add a cruise ship as location (for a certain time frame, ie time of the cruise) - independent from gps location. I‘m currently on a large ship (non gay cruise) with approx. 500 gays but it’s almost impossible to use Grindr as the location is always wrong (it’s a transatlantic cruise so even more difficult).

Show milles on messages screen
Would be nice to check distance while been on messages so we can see who’s closer and who’s online ( previous chats )

I think that it’s so annoying One that I have to pay 3999 a month to be unlimited and I have to pay another $10 a month to have to boost myself up. You should be giving five free boosts every day or at least 2 free boost at Peak time every day to the unlimited member

Reinstate the free trial version on both extra and unli
It’d be great to have the free trial version first in order for us to explore and maximuze all features the app has which helps us for our decision making, if indeed it’s worth a penny to subscribe to either Xtra or Unli. Otherwise, the app is just futile

Grindr Requests
Can someone please make incognito mode unsend messages chat translate typing status saved phrases unlimited profiles etc. free even if there's a bunch of ads because some of those are really important but they can't afford to pay.

Give the paid subscriptions BACK what you took away
The fact you've reduced the XTRA subscribers to free (minus the annoying ads and forced redirects) is utter BULLSHIT!! I want what I PAID for!!! Otherwise issue me a refund!
