“looking for” filters
When searching under looking for you’ll get profiles that include your search along with every other listing that profile has under this category. I’d like to be able to search for one while excluding the ones I don’t want. It’s too common to find someone exclusively looking for one thing but have several looking for’s selected

Bring Back: Nationality Filter
I’d like to request that Grindr bring back the feature that allowed users to select their nationality and filter profiles based on nationality preferences. This feature was incredibly helpful for those of us who value cultural connection and feel more comfortable or interested in connecting with people from specific backgrounds. Chat UI enhancements
I find it difficult to manage chats, and find it too easy to lose track of conversations and connections. My first request would be move pinned chats and maybe favorites to a new tab (between inbox and album). This way you don’t have scroll past previously pinned chats to get to the rest of the inbox. You’ll have one place to find your quality connections without compromising the utility of the inbox. Second request is to an add a filter for “mutual connection” in chat. Let people identify as chasers. Right now, as a chub who is not usually into other chubs, there’s no way for me to search for chasers.

Bring back the specific location on map
Hi, I’m currently paying for the most premium membership, but I’ve noticed an issue on the Explore feature. Even though I set a specific location on the map, the app keeps showing me profiles from other areas instead of the exact area I selected. Also, the distance used to be visible (in meters or km), and now it’s gone — that was very useful. I would really like to have that feature back, since sometimes we’re specifically looking to connect with people from a certain area. Please consider bringing it back. Thanks!

Smart Filter Suggestions Based on Mood / Activity (Date, Chat, Explore)
Hi Grindr team & community,
I often browse Grindr for different reasons—sometimes for dating, just to chat, or discover local connections—but having to scroll through all the Granny Game profiles every time feels clunky. I’d love to see a “Mood / Activity” smart filter added, where I can pick options like “Looking to chat”, “Want to date”, “Just exploring”, or “Nearby for coffee” and let the app reorder profiles accordingly.
Questions & thoughts:
Would this make the experience smoother for casual users who don’t always want to swipe endlessly?
Do you think battery usage or backend load would increase significantly?

Please bring back the adjustable distance filter
Please bring back the free adjustable distance from your location setting. As it is currently ridiculously awful at showing profiles that are close to you or nearby. When in fact they are 800 km away or sometimes in a completely different country 🤔. I paid for more custom filters and things are just trash. I am constantly getting my board showing profiles that are definitely not nearby! 😤😡 makes it a complete waste of money

Basic profile information
I don’t understand the point of paying for Xtra or Unlimited when the filters don’t then capture a large part of the user base because they haven’t filled in basic info such as height, or weight, or looking for. I get the need for privacy so I’m not suggesting everyone should have a picture but there should be a requirement for atleast basics like age, height, weight, etc that match your filters.

Use numeric input with up/down controls instead of an age slider
Change the age input from a slider to a numeric text box with increment and decrement (up/down) buttons for easier and more precise entry.

Random profiles on the grid
Why are random profiles placed next to you on the grid. You think they are very close but upon opening them they are very far away. Quite annoying. Show more profiles locally!!! The ads that pop up everywhere more than pay for the free accounts. Plus I do pay occasionally when I travel but may stop now because your recent changes are not for the better
