Avoiding Unintentional Harm: When the filter is removed, users who prefer specific ethnicities might resort to behaviors that can cause harm, such as blocking or excluding others after interactions. This can lead to rejection or awkwardness that could have been avoided with the filter in place. Providing a filter allows for more transparency and avoids negative social interactions later in the process.

   4. Cultural Compatibility: For many people, ethnicity is closely linked with cultural, religious, and familial values. Allowing users to filter based on ethnicity supports cultural compatibility, which can be a key factor in building lasting relationships. It’s not always about racial bias but shared backgrounds and traditions.

   5. Promoting Inclusivity and Diversity: While the removal of the filter may have been intended to avoid exclusion, it might ironically decrease the likelihood of diverse relationships forming. When users can filter according to their preferences, including ethnicity, they are likely to engage more genuinely with people they are interested in.     You removed this when the news was full of race issues.

    It’s a legitimate filter to help people find what they are looking for, not everyone prefers all types, so why clog is a grid with people who do not match?

    I don’t get it. Get off the fence and serve the customers. I can go on any dating app and filter by ethnicity. It’s normal.

16. Get rid of all the fake trans profiles to make this app usable.

    Hard to find anyone when 5/11 profiles are obviously fake and not removed after they have been reported. I would volunteer to work for free to remove them. When the same girl’s pic is used on 10+ profiles within a matter of days, you have a problem.

20. Issue: Explore cities are not localised enough

    The larger explore features seem to show cities you might visit once in a lifetime. I'm in the UK, it would make much more sense to see UK cities rather than cities in the US or Australia. Besides having a look at people's photos, I'd just be wasting their time tapping or messaging. At least if the cities were relevant to my country I might be more inclined to visit.
