   I’ve been a paying customer since the very beginning, and it’s unbelievable that after all this time you still haven’t fixed the most basic issue: letting us choose who we actually want to see on our grid. Your so-called filters are useless all we get are fake accounts, bots
   I mean I remember in the beginning we did have that option and it was great

   We pay a lot of money for this service — whether weekly, monthly, or yearly — and what we get in return is nothing close to what’s promised. That’s not just disappointing, it’s dishonest. It feels like you’re taking advantage of the very people who have supported you from day one.

   You’re not listening, you’re not improving, and you’re ripping off the customers who’ve been here the longest. If you actually value loyalty, then prove it — stop ignoring us and finally give us full control over the type of people we see. Otherwise, it’s nothing but a scam at this point

   I really enjoy using the app and appreciate the platform you’ve created for people to connect. I wanted to suggest bringing back the race filter—not as a tool for exclusion, but as a way to better tailor searches to individual preferences.

   Personally, I’m particularly attracted to Black men and often find it difficult to connect with them in my area. While I do chat with and have made meaningful connections with people of all backgrounds, having the option to filter by race would make it easier to connect with those I’m most interested in romantically.

10. More filters to specify your preferences

    Since the whole black life matters-movement Grindr adjusted the filters or deleted the filters actually. There is no option to filter on ethnicity for example.

    Besides the fact that a preference in type of guys is not racist, the fact i can’t specify, it fills my grid with a lot of unnecessary profiles i will hide or block anyway.

    I usually compare it to Marktplaats. If i’m looking for a bird, i can also specify my searchresults cause i’m not interested in cats, dogs, fishes or whatever. Same with type of guys on Grindr. It’s not like i’m shifting types because grindr keeps obligating it.

    Same stuff with all the Trans-profiles/fake bot-accounts. I can’t filter that either, at this moment when i open grindr, from the 15 visible profiles, 8 are from trans’people’.

    Don’t think that is what grindr was intentionally created for.

    Hopefully from a different angle and perspective you can also relate that a filter is not a racist thing, but a funnel to specify what type of guys we are looking for.

11. Grindr needs to be just for men seeking men

    Grindr will not succeed as an all in one app for hook ups. It needs to be men for men only. That is how and why I can accept to pay the ridiculously high cost for subscriptions for features that used to be free or at least free in a lower tier subscription, but that’s a whole other topic for another time. Grindr needs to be the best place for guys to meet guys period. Just like it’s always been and the sole reason it became so successful to begin with. Whether it be gay men looking for a man, bisexual men looking for a man, transgender men looking for a man, or even straight men looking for a man, it must be only for men. In doing so it simplifies the whole process and instills confidence in its paying subscribers to know that they are in a place where they can feel comfortable in knowing that everyone is looking for the same thing…a man. When you allow women to become subscribers then it becomes a problem because by doing so you will then also have women looking for a woman, straight men looking for a woman, trans gender women looking for a women, and so on. That then makes it difficult to have to sort through all those additional profiles just to find the one man that is looking for a man and all while fearing that you may offend someone and be rudely told that they are not into men. And the constant bombardment of taps from transgender women from miles away just interjecting themselves for the purpose of making money off the free advertising of their OnlyFans or escort services available off site. They don’t read your profile and find you interesting or see that you are not looking for someone other than a man they just spam you and interfere in what was your tried a trusted place to meet men looking for men. Grindr needs to decide its intentions and then do whatever they must to assure that their paying subscribers are getting the features and services that they were promised at the start of their search for a man.

12. Where are men?

    Grindr is now filled with trans male to female or straight men looking for trans and cross dressers. Isn’t Grindr supposed to be mainly for gay men to find other gay men? It’s turned into a straight male looking for trans/cd app instead. Also, why does it have random people thrown in that are nowhere near my location? I mean 30+ miles away and adds a random new fat person when I refresh? Grindr needs serious fixes.

16. Add Genital preferences ie: Uncut, Pierced, tattooed, etc

    Need more tag options for genital preference and for what your own genitals are
    There are a number that probably should be added:
    Uncut, pierced genitals, tattooed genitals, AMAB, AFAB, pube colour, post surgery, intersex, boy clit,
    Also perhaps tomboy, gender neutral, Prey/predator, neurodivergent, and autism would be great as well.

    I believe that Grindr has deliberately been overrated since transgender/CD( female impersonator)s were allowed to post their interests. ...
    Wasn't Grindr originally designed for gay men looking for men, period?
    The hassle of blocking unwanted profiles the amount of time to make an honest connection with some guy on Grindr discourages any affinity for me to even find someone., 😓
