Stop Ignoring the critical misuse in Chile (country)
I live in Chile. Several years ago the app stopped being safe for gays in Chile. First there were the profiles of trans scorts, then straight scorts were added, the sale of illicit drugs was unleashed. Today in the app when you open it you will be surprised that more than half of the profiles are not gay, but straight people. Today, March 23, 2024, we learned of a hate crime that was facilitated through Grindr. Repeated spam accounts for Trans
Endless spam accounts being set up daily, supposedly by trans women, all using the exact same photos. Block feature for these accounts however does not work and keep seeing them on the fresh tab. Mods at Grindr must realise the pics and profiles are fake every time they approve their photos.

Option to have a self-exclusion
Would be a good idea if you feel like you are spending too much time on grindr, you could have a option to have self-excluded/pause. For a set time day/week and so on. For me I use the app alot and feel like it takes over my day. If there away just to pause my activity knowing that within a day or two i can start grindring again. There must be losts of users who feel like this. I think thia would help with addiction and mental health.

Loosen up access
you let me create an account to post here, I don’t want to use the mobile app, because none are truly secure and discreet. I want to use a web version, but you only allow paid subscribers to use a web version.
So many people are missing out on meeting good people, due to silly limitations of a mobile app and restrictive abilities to use a web version.
I think you need to loosen up a bit and not be so mobile app drive.

Appeals
I received a warning for supposed harassment of an account just as retaliation for not being able to hook up. Now I fear another warning could get me banned when I know I did not say anything harrassing anyone. Needs to be an appeal system.

Ban people who ghosting
Lots of people are ghosting or just simply not replying. It happens in different state of messaging. Sometimes from the beginning they do not reply, sometimes just after I sent the pictures he wanted... 80% of the people I cannot chat (and neither meet...)
There should be an option on which the user clicks, an automatic, polite message would be sent to the other that "you are not what I'm looking for" or something like that and the other user then should not be able to send any message to that user, but still see his profile. If the user…2 votes -
give some context when you ban people
I am tired of the constant bans this app provides, I always have to figure out what I did wrong, and I am still confused what happened. I send an appeal request and like 4 days later someone contacts me with no new information and just says a generic we have the right to ban people. I only got unbanned by proving my identity please make this better instead of just banning someone please provide them details to build a proper defense against false bans as they are a more common occurrence than Grindr LLC wants you to believe.

The quality of people! Tell you they are on their way to meetup then just never come and don’t respond and leave you on read like it’s funny
I’m not sure how to exactly fix this other then maybe have something like a button that becomes available when two people agree to meet that they both have to click. If someone clicks it but doesn’t show they could potentially be banned from Grindr. People need to have consequences to ultimately repetitive emotional damage they are causing someone. And then say you block them…well they delete their acct daily anyway and make a new one and do it all over again. It’s sick, it’s twisted, and I don’t even get how people can act or think like that.

J’ai mon compte depuis des années et j’ai été bloqué depuis un mois. Je n’ai pas de réponse. Je ne sais même pas pourquoi je n’ai rien commis illégal ou rien qui ne respecte pas les règles. Grindr et cependant je ne peux plus l’utiliser. J’ai trois voisins qui m’harcelaient, je les ai gentillement envoyés bouler et je suis soudainement bloqué avec interdiction totale de même pouvoir recréer un compte

Paid fast track pic approval with feedback
Pic approvals are so hit and miss. Feedback would be great. Why did it get declined. Your guidelines say if it can't go on insta it can't go here but I've had insta pics declined on grindr. Upload again and it's declined, upload again it's approved. I'd pay to know why it was declined. Update to this.... You must have a team of nuns approving pics and mine is goingb to that team cause I've had a pic declined that has zeo nudity and a big ass sticker over my junk. I jave had racier pics approved. I believe, like a large number of people, that you should take more seriously the fact of controlling the photos and images that anyone who Create a user profile.A moment ago I took a screenshot of a random profile photo and when searching for said image on Google LensI notice that this photo is being used on countless internet sites.
