I am getting endless taps from accounts whose only purpose is to promote their OF (OnlyFans) account. This is not pro-Grindr-community!

Fake trans women profiles and women
Fake trans women profiles are scams that use stolen/AI photos to catfish users. They waste time, trick people into meetings, and create real safety risks on a location-based app. And Cis straight women don’t belong on Grindr. The app was made for gay/bi/queer men. They clutter the grid and frustrate the main user base.

Age filter
There should be an age filter available in settings. For my profile to only be visible to select age groups.
I just think it's totally unfair to 18 year olds who just want to have fun with guys their own age, but get bombarded with dick pics from older guys and fakes pretending to be younger.
Also age shouldn't be manually selectable. It should be proven age. It's ridiculous the amount of 40 year olds pretending to be 30

Fixing the Bot issue
There are way too many bots and scams on this app. Every time I’m on the app now it spams me with taps from bots and scams, please find a way to fix this. I have 20+ in a row of just spam. Maybe a verification system through email or number so they don’t have easy access.

Catfish8ng / ghosting
"I am repeatedly targeted by fake dates (catfishing/ghosting) organized through multiple profiles created for the sole purpose of mocking people.
The platform shares a huge part of the responsibility for enabling this malicious behavior due to its current architecture. Specifically: anyone can register endless accounts using a single phone number; when a user blocks you, their chat history and availability vanish, allowing them to return later under a new identity; and it is practically impossible to report or block these profiles because they usually block you first. Finally, there is no option for profile verification, user feedback, or rating systems.

AI intervention
It would be amazing if you told the ai to block scammers constantly using the same pics or writing the same copy and pasted descriptions of themselves.
Regardless of how many times I’ve blocked people I repeatably get the same ones on my feed, they are a combination of gift card scammers, sexworkers trying to extort $, massage therapists, and people with onlyfans accounts.
If you had ai check the pics which have been previously used before for people whose profiles get reported only for them to clone a new one, then those profiles will be weeded out and we…

Ban people who send website links in the first message
The spammers are usually just sending a link in the first message with a conversation with a new person. If there is a way to track a new user's message activity and how many times they are sending links in the few messages with other users, shouldn't it be easy to block them off the platform?

Últimamente hay mucho perfil falso, pidiendo fotos pero luego haciendo ghosting, o perfiles que dicen de quedar, y luego te bloquean
Debería de haber un botón de alerta para marcar al usuario, si tres o más usuarios marcan esa alerta, directamente se banea la IP de ese usuario.

Give users the ability to restrict messages from "Joined Recently" accounts.
If users could use the setting "Do not allow messages from Joined Recently accounts unless I message first," that would reduce incoming spam messages for most users by probably 90% or more. It's an easy fix.

SPAM. So much spam
Add a non-removable feature on each profile that shows the date created or how long a profile has existed. This would tremendously help identify spam/duplicate accounts created with stolen photos. This has proven extremely effective on Facebook for weeding out spam buyer messages on Marketplace listings 🤷🏻♂️
Maybe add some level of authentication or human interaction like a captcha to be able to create or reply to a new message.
