If you guys don’t do something about the volume of bot accounts and scammers on this app, I’m going to cancel my subscription. I block ten or more a day, usually.
This is totally unfair to us and it only seems to be getting worse over time, so get it together or I can’t justify continuing to use this app.

Spam auto-blocking
It’s really not that hard to detect a conversation where the first message is a web link and suspend the related account, is it?!
It would be great if the Grindr product managers pulled their heads out of their asses and did the bare minimum to stop spammers before they annoy everyone. Users aren't (only) cash cows, respect their time and experience.

Stop relying on AI to do everything..
just because i look young ive been banned while paying for a subscription.
Why do i have to go through the process of uploading an image of myself holding up numbers I've written down.
Why cant i just send you my ID?
I think its a bit of a jump from no verification to real time pictures being sent via email because I happen to look young for my age (im 33) . Make it easier !!! The ads were bad enough this spells the end of using grindr forever more for me.

No face no chat
Too many users hide their faces, which makes the app feel anonymous and unsafe.
This anonymity inevitably undermines trust, accountability, and meaningful interaction, ultimately harming Grindr’s interests.
Requiring a clear face photo would improve safety and overall user experience.
Platform design should balance privacy with accountability, and making face photos mandatory would be a reasonable and responsible approach for Grindr.1 vote -

Better moderation of fake profiles
There needs to be better moderation of fake profiles because it doesn't look like there is any at all right now. There are more fake profiles than real people on the grid and you expect ppl to pay a pretty high fee to subscribe to an app that seems to get worse with each update instead of better. It feels like the only moderation done is when the people using the app report a fake profile. If we are paying for your service we shouldn't be doing the work that needs done, we aren't employees. Do better.

I can only send 8 pictures then im limited because I'm not a paid member how can I take that off
It should matter how many pictures you send you already have to pay for everything else

En la aplicación existen los parámetros es decir las edades de qué edad a qué edad queremos contactar con las personas no pero hay muchas veces que aunque esté puesto el filtro y aunque esté puesto en la biografía del perfil las personas no no respetan podríamos hacer un puntuaje cinco estrellitas de una cinco estrellitas o dejar una red flak
Y de todas esas personas que se dedican a vender Powers dildos o demás podría hacerse como bloquearlas definitivamente

Distance
I dont want to see men that are 30 miles away in the nearby blocks. We should show people that are in the area. It seems to be randomized now which makes it difficult for users and honestly feels like im wasting my time.

Does Gower Distance require transformation of correlated variables?
Hello, I have a question about Gower Distance.
I read a paper that states that Gower Distance assumes complete independence of the variables, and requires transforming continuous data into uncorrelated PCs prior to calculating Gower Distance.
I have not been able to find any confirmation of this claim, is this true, are correlated variables an issue with Gower Distance? And if so, would it be best to transform all continuous variables into PCs, or only those continuous variables that are highly correlated with one another grow a garden? I wish there was a website that just had a list of customer pain points
The advise that is always given when building saas is find a problem/pain point for a customer then build a solution that solves that problem Bro Games.
But from my experience, it’s really hard to find those problems. What if you don’t know who the customer is?
I wish there was a website that just listed different real customer pain points by industry.
Also is there a framework of sorts to find customers pain points?

Stop with the overkill is advertising
Come on guys like after every message I have to deal with adds when someone sends me a message I to deal with a damn add before responding to a message and it’s critical when trying to send someone a location or direction this has gotten to be overkill tone down the damn adds or lower the price for a membership
