A not interested button simply allows the pretentious better than attitude of some individuals to be seen as normal, if a bloke takes the time and effort to message you the least U can do is respond in a polite non judgmental manner. Yes a reply is the correct and only acceptable response. A non reply simply reveals the true character of the individual. It's another way for them to hide behind an app and throw abuse and insults at men they believe themselves to be superior to. You will all get older, loose your looks, etc then it's the rest of us that will have the last laugh as a less attractive but decent thoughtful bloke is a far better option as a partner and play mate

Title: The Importance of the "Not Interested" Button on Dating Chat SitesIntroduction
Online dating has revolutionized the way people meet and form romantic connections. With the proliferation of dating apps and websites, individuals now have access to a vast pool of potential partners. While this can be exciting, it also presents a challenge: how to efficiently filter through these options to find meaningful connections. Users can quickly sift through their matches and identify those with whom they do not wish to engage. This efficiency benefits all users by streamlining the dating process. It allows individuals to focus their time and energy on connections that hold promise, increasing the likelihood of finding meaningful relationships.
The data collected from the use of the "Not Interested" button can also be valuable for dating site algorithms. This leads to more accurate and relevant recommendations, ultimately increasing the chances of users finding compatible partners.

“No response is a response” is rude. Sometimes in this app it’s not clear if the message went through. Blocking is a better response. There’s so many fake/blank profiles I think blocking is best if you’re not interested because if someone likes you they’ll keep trying. Also, why would you want your grid to have people you’re not interested in specially if you have limited results. It’s awkward telling someone you’re not interested, then not blocking, and seeing them on the grid while knowing they like you.

The only mentally unstable people are the ones who believe (no response as a response) they are so full of themselves, arrogant fragile, self esteem that by ignoring others, they feel so superior, and it makes them feel better.
Just because it’s Grindr, it does not mean the person on the other side isn’t human. You can nicely say thank you for your message, but I don’t think that we match, I wish you all the best. That way you are not demolishing his existence, and mentally unstable person would attack that specially if you are kind.
I assume that they became mentally unstable because you were rude and treated them like a piece of trash when they ask you why aren’t replying.
Give respect if you want to get respected back

I hate this idea. This could cause issues with mentally unstable people. A non-response is a response. If they are persistent, block the user.

This would be fantastic. Even something lighter like "Not a match"

Actually one of my best friends took his own life last Christmas because of how arrogant gays are there days. He keep telling the guys if they are not interested they can just be honest and say so. And he says they keep reading and ignoring and he was already going through depression. I took the permission of his mom to post about it to educate the arrogant muscle Maris in our community to be nice. And if they are not interested they can say it in a nice way instead of ignoring. Sorry just this subject brings a lot of emotions for me.

Exactly Howie, but sadly a lot of our toxic community love to feel the attention and they don’t want to
Block because it makes them feel wanted wanted and feed their insecurities. Our community is so disgusting. -

A temporary hide button where you hide the person for 3 months. Honestly I would love to know if someone is not interested in me so that I don't make a joke of myself
-
Sam Galax commented
I don't think it should be that button
But I understand why some times i do say you not interested some people don't takes well and reporting from anger and being denied
The block doesn't work how it should I blocked 3 times but somehow getting messages again from that member
So I think block should be fixed but even if someone blocked you I think still be able to report that account if I talked to scam and they understand I wont pay they block me imidatly so I should be able to report and suport should see conversation -
Howie commented
Why can’t you just man up and say you’re not interested?
