It's not only for minorities. Even white people need the ethnicity filter to find whoever they're looking for white or not.

As a poc, your app is unusable bc i am unable to find other poc unless i pay more. White people take up the majority of this app and without that filter im now forced to endlessly scroll and hopes that i find another poc which is slim so now yourre forcing us to pay more to see more profiles. In this its Ironic, how youve made the app less equitable for poc looking for other poc. Absolutely ridiculous.

We are being forced to pretend that none of us have any ethnicity preferences and that we see everyone in the same exact monotonous way or else we risk being called “racist”. The political correctness on Grindr these days is shocking. For example, I recently reported an underage trans woman (more like girl) who was offering her “services” if I were “generous”. I did not engage with her but for her own safety I felt that reporting her was the best thing to do. The response I got from the moderator was “not to shame a trans woman”, which is a stupid PC response.
Anyway: restore the ethnicity filter NOW!

Racial discrimination is bad - so they got rid of the ethnicity filter. Yet there are still filters for age, weight, height and gender! These can all be used to discriminate against people!

Removing the ethnicity filter seemed very specific and targeted. Either remove all other discriminatory filters, or bring back the ethnicity filter - double standards are a bad look.

I think it would be helpful if you have a certain ethnic preference. For instance, I’m not Latino, but I’m attracted to Latino men. It coupe be helpful in this case, but I understand people would ultimately abuse this feature.

Absolutely NOT. There’s already too much racism in our community, such a feature will just make it more convenient to be a racist. It seems that some people hate people of color so much that they can’t even stand to see pictures of them in their listings - they want to filter out, to ERASE people who don’t look the same as them. Don’t make this any easier than it already is.

We love who we love. Don’t be prescriptive. Let us choose.

I’ll just say this does your preference that you like prefer you?

First, I would like to state that I normally don’t take the time to respond to discussion boards in general. However this topic and feature request is highly desired by myself.

The request of a filter for race/ethnicity should not be viewed as someone being racist but rather an individual’s preference in what they desire in the bedroom. As a White Greek Male, I prefer Black Men and or Latin Men. With that said, this preference doesn’t mean that I hate every other race including my own but simply means that my sexual appetite is of Black or Latin Men.

This filter is no different than someone who has a preference in wanting to have sex with a Transgender, Bear, Twink, or one of the other countless tribes that are on the APP. Point blank, if at the end of the day I want a Big Black Dick then I am going to get myself a Big Black Dick. That doesn’t make me racist it’s just what I prefer to enjoy in the bedroom.

Lastly, for what Grinder charges per month ($20-40), I should be able to filter many things to say the least. Adam 4 Adam which obviously is not as advanced as your app allows you to filter out your searches by race. I strongly urge you to follow through with this feature.

It's OK to say "White" and "Black" and "Asian" and everything else we are and are proud of. It's our heretige.

If race filter is racist, then age filter is agist, body type filter is fat shaming, .... u name it. If you are avoiding all that , the app will just be an unhelpful useless app with no filter tools.
Allowing all user choosing to use the filter or not, is the user's choice!!! You can't just try to avoid a few extremists by taking away this feature from all users
