Taking ethnicity filter out takes away my preference
So me paying to be extra does nothing for me that a non paying subscriber gets

Taking the ethnicity filter out was the worst thing app did. Everyone has a type or preference. Takes so long to scroll to find what your interested in. It’s got nothing to do with racism

Personal choice and freedom to associate with whom one pleases is a fundamental right. The ability to exercise personal preference should not be seen as racist. Personally I feel little physical attraction toward my own ethnicity and would prefer to focus on other groups. Please restore the filter.

This app shouldn’t pretend to be something it isn’t. People want a bear Latino daddy, let them find it. Seems wrong to take away peoples choice and control. Censorship is the one thing that’s always unattractive. As is totalitarianism.

The ethnicity filter, is not racist at all !

I just cancelled paying for Grindr xtra and deleted my account. If everyone just deleted their profile that wants this filter back maybe Grindr will get the hint.

I just use Planetromeo now. They have the ethnicity filter...

and when you bring back the ethnicity filter I, like thousands of others will start to subscribe to Xtra again. There is no point subscribing without it.

Why has this been removed, this is the filter we pay for? Grindr that feature the best one on the app and now you removed it? Give your long term users the best feature back.

And whats so stupid is...when you contact support about it, they have the unmitigated audacity to repetitively reply with the same dumb “scripted” responses like robots! I hope they lose so much money and wakeup !

This app is all about helping guys find their type, but in a cowardly concession to a vocal minority of users, you have forced white men who prefer to date white men into the roll of villains and narrow-minded bigots. It should be patently obvious that Including a racial preference is no more prejudicial than any other physical attribute. I’m forced to reject and risk hurting the feelings of well-meaning guys because you are too politically motivated to serve your consumers in the most equitable and honest manner available to you. If it doesn’t change, I won’t be here long.

Other sites such as Adam4adam.com or manhunt.net still have ethnicity filter and no one ever complains about it

RESTORE the ethnicity filter , its one of the reasons I pay to subscribe because I like certain men

They removed when every other company was doing performative BLM stuff

so ethical filters are not okay but all other filters are? like - age - bodytype - preference for top or bottom etc. all these are okay? and if someone doesn’t like white or far east or asian guys - just because you remove the filter you all of a sudden end up in bed with them??

I love guys from every race, because every race have some amazing dude out there. However, taste and desire always change and evolve. I may like strawberries, but it doesn't mean that I want them everyday! It's the same with guys, diversity is important.

I live in a country where 99% of the guys are white, like me. I was really really happy when I could use grindr to find someone from another background. The only thing you changed by removing this filter is that now I have way less fun, meet with less guys, and spend hours scrolling this app unefficiently.

I was using this ethnicity filter a lot, because some days I wanted a specific type, and another day, I wanted a different one.

It was really a great feature and everyone I know was paying grindr extra just for it. It help us meeting people with different culture and background. For example, I met my best friend using it!

This needs to be added back it allow refunds when you take away the only reason I pay

How about removing race altogether if we’re not allow to filter it. It doesn’t make sense to allow filtering of everything else.
