I think having ethnicity to choose from in your search is much less threatening than having to put in your profile that you are only seeking someone who is of the same ethnicity as you are! I have placed experimental profile text stating “masculine white male seeks same for fun” only to have every ethnicity but what I sought hit me up and even accuse me of being a racist when in real world I am definitely not. I have attempted to explain my preferences only to be called bigot racist etc. you are perpetuating the racial issues by taking it away and you are pandering to a movement that is exclusionary in its self. All. Lives matter just as BLM.

User have the choose to not use it, this is the only dating app that does not have this option, if your so offended it by it you need to not use this racist app then!

Maybe the 3,000 + people who like me are dissatisfied with this and are/have ceased our unlimited subscription should message the useless CEO about this.

For that isthe only rational explanation for your initial decision to exclude this one trait in the filter, and to now refuse to address it.

I agree, not sure how its negative. I see it as a positive, I love all men and would like the option to search for various cultres/heritage.

Removing this filter must be the biggest PR failure in history. GRINDR is now the only app of this kind to not have this sort of filter.

The real question is: is anyone actually listening to these comments? I don't see any action or an attempt at addressing all of the many concerns stated here. Grindr's silence is deafening.

Completely agree. I’m a white guy with a preference for mixed / black guys. I now struggle to locate them due to this. Ridiculous move. No longer want to pay for Grindr.

The ethnicity filter was very useful to those of us who are attracted to others of select ethnicities.
It is not racist to only be attracted to black or asian or white person’s etc, it is simply a preference.

Without this filter there are grid spaces being occupied by people we may not be attracted to, therefore limiting our choice for finding dates or whatever else we may be looking for.
