Please restore ethnicity filter
I am Asian, and I would like to have the ethnicity filter option back. As a "minority", I don't think the filter option is racist. It offers me choices. Sometimes I want to search for Asians for example,, and if there is this option, it will make my search much easier to find.

I'm a white guy living in a city where there aren't a lof Middle Eastern guys. How am I supposed to quickly look for someone without the race filter? The FUNCTION of the race filter was to ACTIVELY search for someone, not intended to BLOCK people. Blocking people from a certain race solely based on their race is racist. Looking for someone with a specific skin tone, height, age, role or relationship status is a preference! #dontfilteroutfilters

Bring back ethnicity filter or reduce prices. That's literally why people subscribe to XTRA/Unlimited - to be able to search for what they like. Fix it.

It’s not the same Lewensredder.
You are capable of choosing to be a top/bottom or versatile.
However, you are not capable of choosing skin tone and year you were born. -

Totally agree. I appreciate the fight against racism but if one were to remove that as a filter then same would have to go for position preferences which can be interpreted as bottom shaming, or ageism etc. I think general awareness campaigns would be a better approach. Please return the ethnicity filter

Maybe they should change from race to preference that way it’s not a race thing it’s what do you prefer. At end of the day folks are going to have what they prefer and nothing going to change that. They need to bring it back or rename it.

The first in response to your negative comments I'm just going to disregard them as the outpouring of an ignorant mind. Second I think we're confusing "ethnicity" filter with preference. I personally prefer Latino men being a Caucasian myself. I have nothing against white men or black men or whatever nationality. It's simply preference. I've tried out the different flavors and come to the conclusion that that's just what I like. It has nothing to do with your race. You as a person however is a completely different story. However we're all being forced to essentially look at everything. I don't think race is something that should be a dividing issue with us, because we're all on the same boat. I personally would like this "ethnicity" filter to be reinstalled because I don't care to look at several hundred more people in my area having to swipe down repeatedly. I'm only looking for my type.

Bring back the filter and stop politicizing sexual attraction. No one owes anyone a date or sex if they are not interested! The app is less efficient with more profiles cluttering the grid and paid members (Xtra, Unlimited) were never reimbursed for the reduced features.

I want to meet, create relationships, and am most attracted to men of a certain culture and now it’s impossible to find them. I don’t even want to use this app because this feature was removed and it wasn’t to stop racism otherwise they would of kept it so we can easily meet guys of all different races and cultures.

GRIND HAS FAILED.
It's very arrogant for woke Grindr CEO Jeff Bonforte to make a favour to the fascist marxist racist Black Lives Matter movement by lecturing us from his comfy office in California on who we should have a romance with and to control who is going to show up on OUR grid on OUR phones instead of letting us chose who are OUR potential MATCHES as paying members (I already cancelled don’t count me in).
So basically it turns out similarly to Facebook that Grindr is not the product: WE ARE THE PRODUCT, the product of a concealed radical left wing woke social engineering project trying to undermine freedom of choice and bully the users to chat with people they don’t want to chat with because the potential MATCHES are HIDDEN AWAY.
Jeff Bonforte hasn't got the faintest idea of what the USER REQUIREMENTS are, what Grindr is as a product and hasn’t got a grasp of the concept of a product from the marketing point of view at all.
The point of Grindr is helping US to find a MATCH for romance, so we need to be able to filter OUR TYPE (not Jeff Bonforte's type) that we will finally bring to OUR home and OUR bed (not Jeff Bonforte's bed).
But my grid is just full of background noise to put it mildly, all sort of trans, straight men looking for trans and a track load of people I'm not interested in as I'm looking for men of a bunch of ethnicities or so and that's it, I DO NOT WANT TO SEE ANYONE ELSE IN MY GRID because they will NEVER EVER be boyfriend material and I DECIDE who is going to be my partner, not Jeff Bonforte or the radical leftists domestic terrorists of Black Lives Matter.
I'm pretty sure that Jeff Bonforte was thinking that discriminating against our sexual preferences and freedom of choice about our sexual partners would have lured us into the highest tier subscription because with an infinite scrolling coming at a very steep price at the end we would find what we're looking for.
This is impractical because it takes ages and quite a lot of time analysing each tile for each page, it's absurd, the information is ALREADY THERE, but I'm negated to access it because some bigots decided that's wrong, the only solution is a filter as any other effective MATCH making tool does.
If someone doesn’t want to be filtered in for any ideological or personal reasons, they could just have a setting that say “don’t appear in ethnicity filter results”.
The result of this STUPID choice to remove the filter has led to:
1. Users are now FORCED to use the BLOCK feature to make space for potential MATCHES on the GRID therefore blocking people they would have rather not blocked
2. Multi-ethnic mixing is NOT ALLOWED because users of a “majority” ethnic group can’t look for a “minority” ethnic group anymore and viceversa
3. RADICALISATION of users and further division across racial lines of society that’s basically the purpose of organisations like Black Lives Matter: divide society on racial lines to rule it.
4. Halted intercultural mixing: i.e. I can’t easily find middle eastern men anymore on Grindr I’m sure lots of people have similar issues
5. Putting the users in dangerous situations: I personally got in physical danger by hanging out in areas of the city where homosexuals are seen by most men as an abomination of nature while I was looking for what I could easily find on Grindr using the filter. Oh Thank you Jeff for that one!So instead of being paying members chatting to our matches amongst the ethnic groups we’re tying to mingle with, we are redirected here to read posts of people that would be better not advertising themselves on Grindr so they wouldn’t come here to moan about their perception of feeling discriminated, fetishised and all that sort of nonsense that to cater for basically made the application a piece of CRAP.

Don't feel like an ass, it's your human right because woke Grindr's CEO Jeff Bonforte by the height of his moral stature and his comfy office in democrat California pretends to lecture you on who you should have a romance with and that's WRONG! I bought a gayromeo yearly subscription and I can use the ethnicity filter to see ONLY potential matches on my grid, not sure if it would work for you as it's mainly european based. I suggest you to search all posts like yours here in uservoice and vote for them because Grindr is actively ignoring these requests.

I suggest you to use the search box here in user voice and search for ethnic or ethnicity and vote for all the posts like yours that are asking to reinstate the ethnicity filter. Looks like Grindr is actively ignoring this request that keeps coming over different posts because they're feeding on radical left wing facist Black Lives Matter movements who want to lecture the users of grindr about who we should have a romance with and if we don't then accuse us of being racist. My grid now is full of people I don't care to meet either because they're not my type, often it's ethnicity or even trans and straight people looking for trans. Grindr's CEO Jeff Bonforte believe to be morally superior to the rest of the world so it's making IMPOSSIBLE something that was already very hard, that is to find a MATCH, a person that I HAVE CHOSE and that HE SHOULDN'T CHOSE ON MY BEHALF.

You need to go search for ethnicity or ethnic here in the search box in user voice and vote all the other posts asking to reinstate the ethnicity filter. It's pretty clear Grindr is on a woke mission trying to lecture their users on who they should have a romance with by visually forcing in the grid everybody except the ethnicities they're looking for.
