Incognito mode allows stalkers to watch when you are on etc It also allows a paid "member" to spam. There should not be creeps hiding on the app

Please confirm actions taken when accounts are reported as catfish, spam bots. This includes escort and masseuse accounts. 90% of them are trying bait people into using unsecure 3rd party verification and booking sites. These sites steal your CC info and/or identity. Do more to protect users from scams.

you really should think about adding a distance filter max and least both. It's hard enough to find someone when you get viewing the profiles find an interesting one then realize they're over 100 or over 1000 miles away. With so many scammers using the site I'd rather find someone and meet in person locally so I know they're not just seeing what they can get out of me. Also you need to try and do something to eliminate or at least reduce scammers from using it

The huge number of spam messages on a daily basis is completely unacceptable.

Despite numerous reports, Grindr hasn't done anything about this.

It would be as simple as parsing all messages through a URL filter.

Why do paying users of Grindr have to endure this?

Plus, unlike other apps, Grindr doesn't reward users for reporting spam.

Why you do not block automatically some spam messages there are always the same , containing always same website addresses like fuckguy.net, ....
I mean what's the point for us to signal spam messages including our conversation if you fo not take any measure to stop it .
So easy to track profiles that generates messages containing an url or something that looks like

So many bots seem to be created every single day, personally I get at least 3-5 messages daily (depending on when I'm online) with no content other than a link to a site (won't mention the exact names to avoid giving publicity but they are often "_guys.org" or "_avenue.com").

These accounts are probably making Grindr lose out on a lot of ad revenue, since the sites they promote are getting free advertising targeted to Grindr users, so they don't need to pay for advertising from Grindr the way you're supposed to.

Also very often get taps from accounts called "READ BIO NOW" and the bio is some kind of obvious scam claiming to be a sugar daddy offering hundreds of dollars/pounds for nothing.

This kind of behaviour would be so easy to automatically filter out, they often don't even change anything between the accounts. Once one spam message is reported, there could be an automatic system in place to ban accounts who send out this message to many people. This would be quite simple to implement since it is extremely obvious they are not real accounts.

A basic level of automoderation like this would go a long way towards protecting users both from the annoyance of these messages and the potential dangers for unsuspecting users who click these links.

When reporting spam accounts, the reported account should automatically also be blocked by the person reporting it

How about every time we report a spam ad and it gets verified we get a point, or credit to membership? Clearly you are saving on salaries as we are identifying these accounts for you?
I don't understand how they can spam a message to my account without having viewed my profile?
Secondly it would encourage people to report the spam rather than just ignore or delete if they're being recognized. Otherwise it seems like a pointless excersise.
Thirdly you will discover the true extent of spam on your app.
