2. Seeing who tapped you is now only for unlimited?

   How infuriating. How can you make a feature that was always available to the community now something that has to be paid for? Taps have always been an easy way for people to let you k ow who’s interested in talking without having a whole bunch of conversations popping up and filling up your list, taking away from conversations you’ve already started.
   Just another ploy to make more money by driving people to your most expensive tier. Because you know it’s not working as it too expensive.

4. Unpaid user views all profile

   One issue is exist in the grinder app

   Issue-> if user click in fresh module of app one by one he swap more than 13 profiles than he views Xtra paid user profile around 600

   Steps to generate a issue
   1. Log in to the app
   2. Go in fresh module
   3. Click a profile an swap the profiles one by one
   4. After that unpaid Xtra user view around 600 profile
   5. Grinder get a huge loss with this mistake

5. Do you think we are stupid??

   Stop taking your customers for bloody mugs - £69.99 for 3 months is outrageous, immoral and frankly daylight robbery but then we get to the real insult…£399 for the year advertised as 19% or £19 off…can’t remember which I was so furious - just renew the 3 month one for the length of a year and that £120 saving - come on - even your board is better than this insult

7. I'm not going back to Grindr, Gay Men Society are rude, no chance, Quickly Judgement of error, lack of interest, repulsive Men, TOO TOXIC!!

   I think subscribers should be able to access the Right Now feature for free and not be limited to two free sessions per week. Or, allow for more free sessions per week. I have Grindr Unlimited and don’t think I should have to pay for additional features that could be included.

10. Why only 5 unlock profiles

    Why have I been paying for extra for years then all of a sudden no warning you now only allow me to search an area and have to unlock 5 profiles then pay or get more spam profiles thsn ever before. Personally think u need to review your procedures and talk to people who actually pay for your services!

To view my favourite profiles, I need to clear all active filters. This completely defeats the purpose of saving favourites for quick access. It’s poor design and needs to be reversed. Please restore the Favourites grid as a dedicated, one-tap-access feature.

    1. Expiring Photos Still Glitch and Crash the App

    Sending an expiring photo regularly causes the app to freeze, lag, or crash altogether. This has been a persistent bug for a long time, yet remains unaddressed. It’s unacceptable that a core interactive feature causes such major disruption—especially when it’s part of the Premium offering. This should have been resolved long ago.

    1. Message Delivery System is Misleading

    Previously, if a user was offline and I sent them a message, it would show as “Sent.” This small feature helped users understand someone’s availability. Now, all messages show “Delivered,” regardless of whether the user is online or not. This removes a valuable cue, reducing communication clarity. For a Premium experience, there must be better visibility into real-time interaction.

    • Kink/Fetish Filters: (BDSM, dom/sub, feet, etc.)
    • Availability: “Free now,” “Later,” or “This weekend”
    • Lifestyle Preferences: Smoking / drinking filters
    • Custom Distance Input: Type exact km or miles
    • Language or Ethnicity: Optional filters for cultural comfort
    • Filter by Photo Type: (Face-only, NSFW, album shared)
    • Sorting Options: Distance, Age, Last Seen, etc.

13. Paid “Tap History” is low-quality and guarantees nobody sees taps. Why use them now?

    Tonight I logged in to check my taps after I was out and about only to find they are now all blurred (even the latest one) as if they were as interesting to see as views. While I’d pay to see views, I’d never pay to see taps. They are very low quality and 90% of them are spammed from the same guys I don’t like and you couldn’t force me to like without it being rape. Today, sending taps are effectively sending messages into a void that the recipient will likely never see. It’s almost pointless now.

    I would like to preface this with the fact that I subscribe to XTRA on occasion and unsubscribe when I encounter job instability or a shift in priorities from worrying about men- because sometimes it just does not matter. Historically speaking, I don’t subscribe to dating apps for more than a few months at a time, so aiming for 100% subscription retention rates is unrealistic

    I get this is a persuasion to subscribe to XTRA, correct? Was it an extra feature or something that was free for several years? I would respect the cash grab if it meant putting in work making an extra feature that’s actually good, serves a common need and adds to the value of Grindr. However, “tap history” feels like selling me garbage. A slap in the face. The interactions were already low-quality in the first place. I send them as, “you probably won’t like me but I’m interested if you’re interested”, which feels as mutual and respectable as it gets.

    Making this feature paid only decreases the likelihood I even send taps in the first place, because now THERE IS A 100% CHANCE users do not see taps I send, especially if the most recent tap is blurred and paywalled.

    To the product managers of Grindr, you are basically killing off the “Tap” feature at this point, there is no reason to send them or even look at them because you just can’t.

    TIP: If XTRA (or even Unlimited) came with more specific filters for my type and taste in men, there is a 100% chance I’d subscribe more often just to see more men that I’m more likely to be into. That would be incredibly helpful and I’d pay for such efficiency because it saves years of my life searching. But to kill off taps and put them behind a paywall is such a low for a product value proposition. Out of ideas to sell? Why has nobody thought about showing people on my grid I may have seen in public before I went home? Seriously, I’m not sure if the people trying to sell XTRA are thinking the right way here. I’m willing to give you guys money, but not for crap like “tap history”. Ugh.

14. Bring back distance from pin in “Explore”

    Showing your current distance to profiles instead of distance from the Explore pin is dumb. Yeah I know I’m in Explore so I’m expecting the profiles to be far. Why show the distance in profiles unless it’s from the pin? Seriously considering not using this app after all these harmful feature/ui changes. Certainly not worth the money anymore either.

15. Favourites as filter , block vs hide , paid ‘Chat Now’ scrolls?

    By adding favourites as part of filters, you have effectively made that feature useless. You now get filtered favourites and that does not serve its purpose. Also replacing block with hide within a chat is also not productive. Why would someone want to hide vs just block. You really have some uncreative geniuses who just want to mess up the app. How much money will you extort from users. Now u have made viewing ‘chat now’ scrolls paid as well ….unbelievable

    After taking a one-year hiatus from the app, I recently decided to re-download Grindr. However, upon doing so, I noticed immediately that the app had become increasingly difficult to navigate without purchasing a premium subscription. The overwhelming pop-ups and advertisements not only disrupted the user experience but also caused my phone to crash at one point.

    Despite these challenges, I decided to re-subscribe to your premium plans, but I was absolutely shocked by the current pricing structure. To say that it feels like price gouging would be a severe understatement. While I understand that the cost of services is increasing across industries, the prices you are charging are not justifiable. In fact, they reflect a critical misstep in Grindr’s approach to research and development, alienating both long-time, loyal users like myself as well as everyday folk, most of which having all good intentions. Instead, this pricing targets catfish accounts and spam advertising.

    As a long-standing subscriber to Grindr’s Unlimited and Extra plans since their inception, I am deeply disappointed. Out of principle, I cannot support such unethical pricing practices, which directly contribute to the ongoing cycle of inflation. By continuing to raise your prices to unjustifiable levels, you are perpetuating the very problem of never-ending inflation. At some point, the cycle has to stop, and it starts with companies like yours taking a more responsible approach.

    I strongly urge Grindr to review its pricing structure and offer subscriptions at a more reasonable and fair rate. This would not only demonstrate a commitment to user satisfaction but also rebuild trust with users who feel increasingly alienated due to the sky, high prices and record number of catfish accounts.

    I hope you will take this feedback into serious consideration, as Grindr’s current approach risks alienating a significant portion of its user base.

    If I unsend a chat, the other user shouldn’t be able to see that I’ve done so. The message should only disappear from the other person’s site. Currently, the user receives the following message: “This message was unsent.”

20. Stop notifications for viewed me

    The new annoying “viewed me” notification at the bottom of the app. No one cares unless it’s a tap. Please remove this asap. Such a timewaster!
