Bring back screenshots with individual images in the chat
It would be a good idea to bring back the screenshots with images in individual chats. I used it quite a bit because I like the risqué stuff, and several others do too.

Get rid of fake profiles
They tried to blackmail me with my annual photos. I believed that he was a real person and exchanged photos with him. Please verify when creating a profile by photo that you are a real person. If you are really real, it will not be difficult for you to confirm your identity. I don't want anyone to experience it on themselves

Add a Discreet name change for app
It’s cool that we can have a discreet Icon logo. But doesn’t mean anything especially if people still see the name. My suggestion is the discreet icon app name. That way if anyone’s ever on your phone or is overlooking your phone while you’re opening other apps this one won’t stick out as much. It makes it more comfortable for other discreet people. I think it’s efficient and I think a lot of people actually want something like that.

Profile viewing notifications
Hi there, I think the notification on profile view leads to health concerns. With this feature I believe that users are more concerned with the amount of times they are shown to view a profile, rather than taking their time reading the content of the profile. This is a big concern with undetectability for HIV, regular testing, and general interests. Please consider.

Mandatory profile verification to prevent fake accounts.
I understand that users want secrecy and discretion, which leads them to not have a photo of their face on their profile, but in the account creation process verification should be mandatory to avoid fake accounts.

Email verification should be required!!!
Grindr is like one of the few platforms that do not require email verification to be a registered user.
This is definitely what attributes people to remain completely anonymous and act like fraudent criminals. It has allowed the level of spam and in my personal experience it has helped drive a campaign of mass community harassment and stalking fed by rumors. It should also be required for your phone number to get associated with your account. And no VoIP numbers. Legitimate numbers.

Aqui tudo acontece muito rápido, as pessoas se conhecem e se encontram sem referência, rola encontro em casa, em festa, na rua, em evento, e muitas vezes isso envolve risco real. Falta uma ferramenta simples dentro do próprio Grindr que ajude de verdade na proteção do usuário. Keep conversation after being blocked
When someone blocks you, the conversation immediately disappears. Bad actors have used that to say hateful or threatening things and then quickly block you before you can report them. It means that dangerous people can use your platform unchecked. That isn't okay. Change it to be like Facebook, where you cannot message someone who has contacted them but they can't just block you to avoid being reported.

As with other dating apps, adding a filter requiring registration with identity verification not only mitigates but also reduces the number of fake profiles we have to access. Without needing a profile picture to maintain security in various countries, it would be essential for profiles registered with identity verification (whether ID, passport, etc.) to be recorded in the system. And if their profiles are banned multiple times for creating fake accounts, they should lose all access to the application.

Suggestion for Stronger Spam Bot Controls
I’d like to formally report and raise a concern regarding the increasing frequency of spam/bot accounts I’ve been encountering. Over the past several days, I’ve noticed a significant uptick in clearly fake accounts that are disruptive to the platform experience. Here are the specific patterns I’ve observed:
1. Tapping Behavior
• Today alone, I’ve received 27 taps from accounts of this type.
• Over the last few days, I’ve reported each one as spam, but the issue persists.
• These accounts repeatedly tap multiple times in short intervals, creating unnecessary notifications and noise.

Prevent abuse: blocking users after asking for photos
I suggest adding a safety feature:
If someone asks for photos and then immediately blocks or hides the other user, the blocked person should be able to find that profile again or have a way to report it.
Additionally, if a user blocks someone after requesting photos, access to those shared photos should be revoked or restricted to prevent misuse.
This would help prevent photo scams, harassment, and malicious behavior, and better protect user privacy.

Interactive Distance map
Hi Grindr Team,
I’d like to suggest a new feature for the app. Currently, user profiles display the distance of other users from them (e.g., 2 km away). My idea is to make this distance clickable, so when someone clicks on it, it opens a small map. The map would show a general area based on the user’s location and include a circular radius to represent the specified distance.
This feature could give users a better visual understanding of how far someone is, while still keeping specific locations private.

Safer Guaranteed Hookups
Too much activity on the app where a person promises to hook up and they get my information for where I live and then they don't show up at all. One left to believe except that maybe they wanted my address to consider breaking in and stealing . You can't create a way to stop this.
