Features are being restricted too much
The explore option use to reset every day and now it no longer does, I filter for a reason but when I do it decreases my options and sometimes doesn’t even give me any which is dumb by design, and my app continues to glitch out like crazy. Grindr used to be an app that allowed guys in small and big cities to filter their options but now when you try you’re filtering too much and Grindr is forcing you into a membership if you want to maybe find someone to hang with in a different city entirely. Why is my "type" now a extra feature.
Why is it that I can't view my type like trans, without having to pay for extra? Like if I turn on my type every profile is under the extra. Why make it so I have to constantly be annoyed and harassed by profiles I have no interest in an are not my type. An no matter how many times I say not interested or even block accounts I get the same exact guys messaging me. Due to they either "lost messages" which I doubt, or after I've blocked them theyll delete their account just to make one a week…

Hello there! I'm fond of Grindr; it's quite the app for meeting new folks and perhaps finding a meaningful connection. However, I've noticed a few limitations. For instance, I have a preference for black individuals and trans men, yet the app lacks filters for such identities or ethnicities. Bring Tribe filtering back for free accounts
The decision to move the ability to filter by Tribe behind the paywall makes the app essentially unusable for me. I can look at a grid of people I'm largely uninterested in or that I have little in common with, or I can look at the closest 3 people who might be of interest.
I understand the need to encourage memberships to help pay for the app as a whole, but filtering feels like a baseline function that is necessary to make the app worth opening. This won't be a decision of if I pay for Xtra or not, it'll…

Bring back ethnicity filter
Bring back ethnicity filter , it’s not racist. I understand why you did it , but coming from a black person it’s not racist. It just makes browsing more convinient. Other sites have it and it’s not a problem. No one cares if they are filtered out. You want who wants you. It’s also contradictory to remove it while asking people to input their ethnicity. Removing the feature felt performative.
Please bring it back.

Beer drinkers
Have users add to their profile whether they drink at home or not I’m just tired of those heavy beer drinkers that drink one can after the other and think this is okay for everyone. This is a massive turnoff they smell beer, their breath smells bear and they can never drive cause they had a drink mid afternoon.

Exclusion filtering
Right now it’s only possible to use filters to showcase profiles that have the selected criteria. But i’d like to see the option to not showcase certain profiles based on what they have on their profile. For instance, i’d want to filter away everyone who has “hookup” in their looking for, so that I can see profiles that arent hunting.

BSL tag, BSL/deaf filter on the app.
Grindr is a great place to meet but for the deaf community is not as easy. Can we have an option for BSL, British Sign Language. Even creating a tag would be good starting point. Or filtering by bsl etc

With the biggest connected community for the gay community worldwide; I am tired of having to switch to bumble or tinder to have stability from horny boys and gentlemen;
I need to be connected to my niched people; so does every other gay I would presume; to have the power of unity/wholesome ties of adhering to new norms; new forms of interconnected dialogue.
