PROTECT TRANS WOMAN.
Ive been having cisgender men threatening my life, telling me that they would rape me and kill me and the rise of transphobia is not helping. Grindr stop protecting murders! It should be a more severe option of reporting these profiles. Trans women are in danger and yall really dont care about it.

“Hide” is useless. Does nothing useful.
Removing the option to block someone and only allowing a temporary “Hide” is utterly useless. It accomplishes nothing of actual value to the end user. What value does hiding temporarily actually buy someone? If you don’t want to see or talk to them, block them. The “unblock” option has always been available. ???? I get that Grindr was trying to follow a couple of user asks (couple,) but you alienated the 90% of your users that use block as intended and completely removed the option in many cases to block someone permanently. Makes ZERO sense.

The new "grunt" sound overrides custom sounds - fix this
Please make all sounds customizable.
I used to be able to customize notification sounds in Android. Now the "grunt" sound won't allow itself to be overridden.
It's creepy for a human-like sound to come out of my phone randomly, and it'd be even creepier to hear it coming out of someone else's phone.
Fix your shit plz. I dislike having to turn off all notifications but it's not a realistic option to keep this sound on.
The divide between grindr not working well and sniffies just working is growing and growing...even reddit is better for hookups at this point.

Blocking
Bring back blocking that doesn’t require you to first converse with someone. My ex lives close by and I’ve tried blocking him but can’t because he won’t answer. Which means he knows my distance just by looking at my profile but I can’t block him to ensure my safety.

Stop Sharing Album with Everyone
A button to stop sharing your album with everyone at one time. At the moment, you have to select people individually (of which I have hundred and hundreds) or you can delete the album entirely. Feels like a quick fix, but a big win.

Debería ser obligatoria la foto de rostro en los perfiles porque es demasiado peligroso para los usuarios que ustedes dicen cuidar. Por la seguros de todos deberían hacerlo urgente! Hay mucha gente psicopata y enferma que amenaza y hostiga y no se puede hacer nada

Biggest pain point: Performance and spam

Thank you for creating a space where we can share feedback — I appreciate the effort being put into improving the app.
That said, the biggest issue I’m currently facing is a combination of sluggish performance and ongoing problems with spam or fake accounts.
Performance: The app often feels slow or unresponsive, especially when opening chats, loading profiles, or switching between tabs. Even on a relatively new device with a strong internet connection, the lag can be noticeable. It affects the overall experience and makes everyday use frustrating at times.

Just a thought
You should make it so people don’t see you’ve viewed them unless they look at your profile for more then 10-20. It shouldn’t look like you’re interested just because you’re scrolling through profiles.
