Notifications do not work. Chats are unstable since the cloud transition. Search has been removed entirely. Ads are placed to force accidental taps. Popups open unsafe websites without interaction.
This app continues to decline because it holds a monopoly. If users had a viable alternative, Grindr would not survive a week.
Grindr is no longer a platform. It is a trap. It feeds off isolation, exploits its users for ad revenue, and delivers the bare minimum to keep itself running. The developers are not maintaining a community. They are running a slot machine with profile pictures.

All my notes in favorites are gone!
Optimal use for Favorites should be for every Grindr user, as it was before.
All my notes to my favorites (I put a lot of effort in) are gone. Hence the app is less functional and less safe. Unbelievable that Grindr did this.
You changed favorites and taps! And not for the better.
Really disappointing. Bring favorites and my notes back!

Travel feature is inaccurate
Travel feature sets location to an area that is incorrect. For example, Provincetown, Mass changes to South Boston. Provincetown is either a 90 minute ferry or 2 hour car drive from South Boston.

Distance away, first people 12-16 miles away (hate it)
Not sure if you all did the “distance” away (first people are 12-17 miles away) to try and mix up who is close by to you, but I absolutely hate it. Especially if they don’t have the distance feature on, I don’t know if they are close to me or many many miles away. I enjoy getting connected with people close to me, not far away, if I wanted that, I would search for people farther away. Please change this feature back, myself and a lot of people hate this. filters keep deleting
Stop deleting my filters every time i restart the app. Did not do this 3 months ago.

Auto refresh
Ever since the last fuck-update every time I click on a profile then go back, the screen automatically refreshes and jumps back to the top of the list. It's infuriating to navigate the app now and makes me want to delete it which would cause me to lose money I've already paid for the ultimate package.

Filters periodically reset themselves
I only use the age and position filters. I'll be on the app with the filters applied browsing users and/or chatting, and the grid updates. Suddenly I'll start seeing guys that are outside of my filtered preferences... It gets annoying having to reset them almost hourly. Ugh.

Search function on chat history
Last time I used old version, but I can search for what I said in the chat history, but can't get recently results

Too many trans profiles clogging my grid
I want to be welcoming and supportive of my larger LGBTQIA community, but can I go to Grindr without seeing what I'm not looking for--and not having to spend an hour hiding folks that aren't looking for what I'm looking for?
I'm happy to share the platform, but can people please tag themselves as a member of a particular community so that I can sort and bypass?
I've kinda lost all energy to use Grindr for this reason. It's broken. I'm not on Bumble. Or Ashley's List for a reason. Why do people make it so hard.

Trash greedy company
I’ve never seen an app for the LGBTQ+ community handled this poorly. It feels like the company is only focused on making money rather than supporting the 🌈 community. The constant ads are overwhelming—appearing every few seconds—and they ruin the user experience. Lately, it’s become even worse with countless OnlyFans creators spamming ads and messages as soon as you go online. Honestly, I’m ready to delete this app for good.

Move back to top when browse/messages is tapped
In previous versions of the Android app, pressing the browse or messages button while scrolled down would take you back to the top. Now with newer versions this has been removed. It's a small thing, but in terms of UX, this is an inconvenience that makes navigating the app now feel clunky

Free User Updates
1) Work on the geolocation settings (i.e. allowing a set mileage radius and fix the grid to populate like it used to by distance)
2) Reward users for reporting spam/bot accounts.
3) Add a moderation option for reporting blackmailers
