Back up block profiles
It's time grindr have a back up block profiles u don't wish to see. Everytime grindr have a new updates it unblocks profiles we blocked automatically. This needs to end as an unlimited user. Also we want a multiple profile select profiles to block instead of doing for each profile. Some profiles are better off block permanently. Sorry enough is enough

HSV (Herpes) and more disclosure options on profiles
I would love to have an option to disclose being position for HSV 1 without typing it out in my profile.
That sort of disclosure being “Grindr-sanctioned” would take a huge weight off the shoulders of so many who suffer from the shame and stigma of this virus, even though nearly half of Americans have HSV 1 and one in five have HSV 2.
Grindr has led the way in normalizing disclosure of HIV status and reduced so much of the stigma and shame associated with that virus. Can it please do the same for HSV (Herpes)?

Viewed me
When you just swipe through the profiles it shouldn’t pop up on viewed me. Or when you click on a profile. The only time viewed me should be shown to the other user is when you actually take the time to view thru their pictures and/or stats. I get bored and just swipe thru the profiles, then all the sudden I have 20 messages from old guys saying thanks for viewing me….uhhh I didn’t view you. I pass you on the grid each time for a reason.

Safety and privacy of gay men.
This isn’t to bash anyone or discriminate against any gender or gender identity, but this used to be an app where gays could come to meet, hookup, chat, etc. But now with trans and CD’s making profiles on a site that wasn’t created for them, they’re taking away from the grid space that gays would otherwise have to interact. I also don’t believe that straight guys should be allowed to make profiles on grindr because I honestly believe that half of those profiles are fake and used to extract personal information from the gays that attempt to interact with them.…

Zero Knowledge Encryption?
It appears that Grindr is transitioning to server side cloud storage of message content however there hasn't been any clarification in the privacy policy of how this data will be protected. Given the highly intimate nature of Grindr interactions and the historical marginalization and criminalization of the homosexual community, it’s existential to the Grindr business model that identity and message content can only be accessed by the 2 intended parties. Otherwise lack of trust and confidence will eventually cause cancellations. This seemingly was not an issue earlier, when messages were end-to-end encrypted and stored on device.

Make Web version available to all for free.
Some of us live in dangerous areas and/or in the closet.
We cannot DOWNLOAD the APP on our PHONES and risk getting caught; THEREFORE make the WEB VERSION available to all for free.

Distance
I suggest that I we Hide our distance we cannot see the other distance of the users. Just like in facebook messenger, If we turned off chat Online status we cannot see other users Online.

I met a guy. He blocked me after met.

Make ability to report users who have already blocked you available everywhere
I was almost scammed by someone (to use a supposed verification website but that required your card info even though it was “free”) but before I could report them I was blocked. Apparently there is a “report recent chats” feature that lets you report people who’ve blocked you, but it’s “only available in select locations”. Make it available everywhere so we can keep this app safe!

Scams
There are people that ask for gas money via cash app or venmo etc stating they need it in order to get to you. As soon as it's sent they block.or ghost. I think these people should be reported and lose app for a week, and if they do it again, be banned.

Unsolicited nudes
Before users can send photos there should be a reminder, "The person you want to send a photo to has selected never/not at first for NSFW pictures. Is the picture/album you wish to send compliant with their wishes and compliant with laws against cyber flashing?"

Verified profile option
Allow users optionally to verify their profile and show that on their profile. As tinder and other apps do. That will reduce catfishing and will create safer place for people to engage.

People are using my pictures on fake profiles. This is ridiculous

Fake picture removal
I have seen many of the profiles are sharing/misusing someone else pictures. Have faced many complications due to that. To avoid that, why don't use the face recognization option to upload pictures. We have enabled Camera option already. For time being, let's block the option of uploading pictures. I am sure no one is uploading anything useful to anyone in our community. Instead, the only option to share their picture is to take their face picture using camera which will be uploaded in app to be shared. Yet High chances are there that people take picture of an other photograph…

Prevent screen shot of profile pics
I have had my profile pics screenshot and used to set up fake profiles using my identity multiple times. This can be quite distressing. It would help if by default profile pictures could not be screenshot/stolen.
