1. Cyberflashing/Harassment

   Cyberflashing is a serious problem of privacy violation and sexual harassment. Too many people sending nude photos without consent on this app. The category "Accept NSFW Pics" is useless.

   I think the definitive solution for this problem is that you can't receive photos if your category "Accept NSFW Pics" is "Never".
   And you can't send photos to someone who set this option to "Never".

   This is a critical function the community needs.

2. Device IP level user tracking for safty

   Background:

   The majority of crimes, such as harassment and promoting paid services such as escorts and drugs, are the norm among Grindr's user base in Asia and around the globe.

   Use Case(s):

   1) As a registered user in Grindr, share fake images that are owned by someone and invite them for encounters. request to meet at the host's private location,
   *The recipient has been beaten to death. Or credible physical injury.

   • Demand financial bribery by robbing cash or the equivalent.

   • Threat and public humiliation

   • One of above outcomes or a combination

   2) No encounter, but being exposed or threat virtually on exchange of genuine images of the recipient.

   • Blackmail by taking an image as proof to humiliate publicly in exchange for financial or non-financial benefits

   • Reporting to authorities that the LGBTQ community has no legal protection or disregards privacy rights, so public prosecutions could be imposed.

   • Published in social media to humiliate and publicly tarnishe an image.

   Expected Solution:

   A) Track the registered Grindr user account with the association of iMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity).

   B) If the device is rooted, the grinder app should not allow the user to register or login using the rooted device.

   C) If registered Grindr user has been reported with credible evidence to 'grinder app report' function by other users, 
   *Grinder should give a warning based on the degree of escalation and the opportunity to provide support (if applicable).
   *Banning the user account, including device-by-device id (mandate), email id, social media login id permanently or for five consecutive years.

   D) For registered Grindr users, mandate to provide identity reference proof such as national id copy or passport biometric copy along with face recognition.

   E) Validation on authenticity of user by promoting the user random or on demand by face recognition; failure to comply indicate the other Grindr users who view the profile of un unauthenticated user as "not verified"

5. Make unsend massage free or editing possible

   Ever sent your location to someone or phone number and turns out the guys a creep or catfish or worse.
   Unfortunately it's not free. IT SHOULD BE

6. You need to check IDs before they’re signing up for the app

   I think you guys should be able to stop fake profiles from being on Grindr and multiple profiles being open by solicitors for police encounters with small or youth or younger youth IDs need to be present it wow on this adult app page is very because of city and state, but it’s still needs to have some type of secure Zone so no one get injured hard L

8. Self Exclusion for sex and other addictions

   I have been seeing a counsellor for three years now. But the wide scale availability of drugs on Grindr or through people who use Grindr mean that it’s almost impossible for me to not download Grindr each week and start bad habits again. No joke. It’s possibly o find someone to buy drugs on Grindr in <20 minutes. Gambling apps (especially in Australia) have a self exclusion policy under law, which means you can opt to log out of your account and it will place a lock from you recreating or logging in again with the same email/phone/device to help gambling addiction for a certain period eg 1/2/3 months. I think this should be considered for people who have a sex addiction (and often linked to drugs). Please I really need this type of feature for my health and safety and I’m sure many others would like this too. I know lots of people that need a break from Grindr but addiction is the problem and there’s no support for us.

12. Font, Profile, and Thumbnail size options in Explore and Inbox pages

    Can you please add a font and profile size options for Inbox and Explore pages, so people nearby won't have to see all those messages and NSFW pictures clearly 2 to 3 ft away? Using the app gives me so much anxiety and less safe space and privacy with all these huge thumbnails in inbox and explore pages.

13. Why r ppl w/BLANK profiles….

    You guys want to make money money money at all cost. So before if someone viewed you, you’ll be able to click on their profile but now you can’t. I noticed so many blank profiles looking and when i want to click on them to block I can’t. It says buy XTRA. That’s ridiculous, it’s like your protecting them and their blank ass identities but have no problem allowing mine to be out there for. Why? Cause they paid your fee that’s asinine. There’s so much wrong with this app now. From removing race, to making it all about trannies and fake straight men who want them. To those ads and then making 9 profiles viewable you get to the next room and it’s blocked. Wtf is that? What really gets me is the unlimited profiles. Why do i need this option? I’m in Los Angeles i don’t give a crap who’s San Francisco i don’t need to see that. Hell a nice 30mile radius for free is more than enough. So my profile been viewed 83 times you say add boost for 9.99$ why do i need boost seem to be doing fine on my own. Then say unlock to see. I can’t even see one for free but you want to 39.99 and more to see all? Messy

14. Block users out of personal age range from seeing accounts

    I want to be able to block my own account from showing up for users out of my age range, for example if my max age is 25 then users 26 or older can't see my profile. This would stop all the creepy dms I get from old guys.

18. How Grindr allows users to continually return to your grid even after you have blocked them

    I don't need to come up with an idea on how to alleviate this problem. The idea has already been thought of and the ability to keep this from happening already exists.you are putting myself and fellow users of this app in harms way. If you continue to allow this to happen you are opening up a potential lawsuit.i pay to use certain services that are available on this app and I am certainly not getting what I pay for.

    Profiles of people travelling have to be duplicated in different languages - it would be better to have a translate feature for people to translate profiles into their native language.

    This is especially useful in countries where screenshots cannot be taken for use in translation apps.

20. Start showing the history and reason why someone gets banned. Especially when they have paid for membership!

    Show the reason why you have blocked someone's account. There should be a definite description of why with screen shots. And if you are a paid member why not do the strikes like other chat places.
