1. Hide location, distance

   I live in a small area I'm on tinder & grindr
   I've seen someone on grindr who was (trying to be discreet) they scratched with a pen over there face but I was able to tell who they was because tinder & grindr have the same location, distance. And a few other people. You can hide distance but if people beside that profile have it on then you know how far they are still

   I think the distance, location shouldn't be visible on everyone's profile for safety and especially privacy reasons and if people chatting want to share distance, location would be better

5. PIN reset

   Can we have a button, link, or 3rd party authentication app to verify identity to reset the PIN number inside the app. Currently, you can try to enter a PIN unlimited times before you just finally give up. I cannot remember my PIN and there is not a way I can reset it myself from what I’ve experienced so far. I emailed support and they did not get what I was talking about and replied back with a “Reset your password” generic email. It could just be me! Lol 8545546 is the ticket number..

7. Restrictions on what I write in my profile

   The ‘no old’ restriction on my profile is very bizarre. In my profile I state “around my age or older”, which is now getting flagged as me writing ‘no old’. I’m 28 years old, it would be extremely inappropriate and predatory of me to go after someone who’s 18 or 19, which is why I try to filter out teens who message me on this app with that sentence. People are allowed to have preferences of who they interact with based on age? I just find it bizarre that Grindr, in trying to be more age inclusive, is kind of really just promoting grooming/older creepy men messaging people they really shouldn’t be messaging.

   I can’t believe I got flagged for having ‘no old’ in my bio. Maybe if your app protected users from everyone and anyone making sexual advances on them, you wouldn’t need to do such a thing. But to go a step further and to have ‘age inclusive’ language your standard is absolutely ridiculous. I know this isn’t the first suggestion regarding this matter. Young, curious men are discovering their sexuality on Grindr and SHOULD be discoverable by their filters they choose. This experience ruined my coming out experience at 19 and the fact that nothing has changed 5 years later, BESIDES giving more power to old men; the impression they can message people sometimes 3 times younger than them, is a dangerous ideology to have. You need to take pointers from Tinder. This is a far more dangerous and vulnerable app. Is this app run by old men that are into 18 year olds? Is your defence that it’s legal? I don’t necessarily want to get a hello from an old man, let alone a photo of their brown eye. You clearly have the power to change this. If you care so much about community standards, then bring ethics into that conversation.

10. You have alot of profiles on your app in the area that are being apart of a crime using knowledge of who i am by using it as a hate crime

    Sugiro que seja possível ver a data de criação do perdi para todos os usuários ou que se tenha algum tipo de sinal indicando que o perfil foi criado recente. Está ocorrendo de usuários criarem perfil fake e conversarem com você, pedem para trocar nudes e etc. no dia seguinte recebi ligação de um suposto advogado dizendo que troquei nudes com um menor de idade e que querem dinheiro para não denunciar. Se tivesse um indicador de que é um usuário criado recentemente seria mais um ponto para prestar atenção. Geralmente esses perfis fake conversam de 70 a 100km de onde resido com isso eles não aparecem nos perfis recentes por não estarem próximo. Está ficando assustador usar o aplicativo com tamanho número de fakes. Eu denuncio sempre que percebo mas é um vespeiro logo aparecem outros.

17. Temporarily becoming invisible

    It would be fab, to be able to ‘pause’ your account whilst undergoing treatment for STIs. The profile will not appear on the grid, in chats or in favourites. We could mark profiles we have hooked up with and then when ‘pausing’ our profile this triggers an anonymous message to recent sexual partners within Grindr.

    The point of a discreet app is not be something random but all the options have hearts or something to do with dating. Can we create more options or maybe lets users generate icons by selecting a single emoji or from a selection of preconfigured icon.

    The abundance of blank and photo-less profiles is concerning and incessant.
    Allow users with photos the option to be invisible to blank users or to appear blank to those without profile photos. This would ensure a more equitable sense of privacy among pictured & blank users.
