Email verification should be required!!!
Grindr is like one of the few platforms that do not require email verification to be a registered user.
This is definitely what attributes people to remain completely anonymous and act like fraudent criminals. It has allowed the level of spam and in my personal experience it has helped drive a campaign of mass community harassment and stalking fed by rumors. It should also be required for your phone number to get associated with your account. And no VoIP numbers. Legitimate numbers.

Interactive Distance map
Hi Grindr Team,
I’d like to suggest a new feature for the app. Currently, user profiles display the distance of other users from them (e.g., 2 km away). My idea is to make this distance clickable, so when someone clicks on it, it opens a small map. The map would show a general area based on the user’s location and include a circular radius to represent the specified distance.
This feature could give users a better visual understanding of how far someone is, while still keeping specific locations private.

Biggest pain point: Performance and spam

Thank you for creating a space where we can share feedback — I appreciate the effort being put into improving the app.
That said, the biggest issue I’m currently facing is a combination of sluggish performance and ongoing problems with spam or fake accounts.
Performance: The app often feels slow or unresponsive, especially when opening chats, loading profiles, or switching between tabs. Even on a relatively new device with a strong internet connection, the lag can be noticeable. It affects the overall experience and makes everyday use frustrating at times.

Just a thought
You should make it so people don’t see you’ve viewed them unless they look at your profile for more then 10-20. It shouldn’t look like you’re interested just because you’re scrolling through profiles.

Feature Suggestion – Option to Hide Online Status

I’ve been using Grindr for a while and really appreciate the updates, but I was wondering if there's a way to request a feature or if others feel the same. I think it would be useful to have an option to hide our online status or appear offline to certain users or in general. The word “tr*nny” should not be allowed, seeing cis men using violent language/slurs to sexualize trans people is concerning
I feel as though allowing this slur is more harmful than empowering in this context. Grindr allows everyone of all gender identities to use such words that have been and still are used to dehumanize members of this vulnerable community. Sexualizing trans peoples’ existence as a whole is harmful in many ways and does lead to real life violence. Even if you put on your profile that you only accept contact with a photo, many people without a photo don't read the profile and continue sending messages. A feature that allows you to only accept contact with people who have a photo. Preferably, face photo
