Non-LGBTQ criminals often use Grindr as a way to find easy prey to victimize. This is likely because they view gay men/tran women as less likely to be able to defend themselves or because they assume that men hooking up on the platform are closeted and therefore less likely to report crimes such as robbery and violence to law enforcement. These criminals rarely work alone and often have multiple fake profiles on Grindr. Verification check
Grindr is long overdue to implement verification to make this app more secure. I don't understand why it is not implemented, in fact, most apps of this type have facial recognition. This way, we will always know that we are talking to a real person and that we are not putting our life, our photos or our conversations at risk. it is very necessary and urgent!!!!!

Age of profile displayed publicly
I’m getting harassed by this one guy who keeps creating new profiles and that led me to realize that it would be wonderful if it was possible to display the date/month and year of profile creation publicly - that way you would know who’s out there to harass you and who’s been around for much longer (i.e. they must be legit). I’m getting tired and anxious of this one particular person trying to catfish me (I’m probably not alone) and it’s not easy to report that kind of stuff, so such an indicator would be very helpful.

Face verification like Tinder
Make an AI that verificates face photos with your face to have verificated profiles, just like Tinder does. It would make the app safer.

Disable distance displayed if user hides his distance
If users choose to hide their distance then they should nt be allowed to view the distance of others. What goes around comes around. It should be fair for what ever reason a user wants to hide his distance even though Grindr isn't acurate he should loose the option to view others distance.
Trust works both ways.

Mass/Multiple Profile Blocking
Right now blocking is a one by one multiple step process. It’s really annoying when the same people delete and recreate accounts and keep messaging you and you have to go to each profile and individually block them. If you can at least bring the Mass/Multiple Profile Blocking ability to the Xtra/Unlimited users it would be really great!

provide feedback on accounts reported; end the harassment
I've reported several profiles - the same person is harassing me. I never hear back what action has been taken. I know it's the same person because they are always the same distance away, are someone I've never seen before and they have really hot pics. When I reverse image search their pics they are always stolen from another account. YOU NEED TO VERIFY ACCOUNTS or at minimum show how long the person has had an account. I'm getting tired of using this site and be stalked/harassed/ by homophobic sociopaths. Why does Grinder make it to easy to be harassed?

Remove access to older versions of the app which are easily hacked and can be used to view all photos in albums without being granted access
Apparently older versions of this are modified to an extent that creates very real privacy issues because it allows the user to video call any user without being notified on the other end. Allowing them to access the camera of any chosen user. If you guys need guidance on which exact versions are being exploited just email me and I'll get that info for you guys!!

Access to Grindr only by verified users with face pics
Make Grindr only accessible to those who have face photos and can verify their identification via drivers license or passport this will stop abuse of the app and deter bots and underage users which are prolific on this app

Fake profiles, escorts, etc.
Fake profiles are not being handled by Grindr. I get guys who I've reported creating new profiles EVERY DAY and contacting me again -- there needs to be verification like a government-issued ID. If a profile with that ID has been reported/blocked/banned, they obviously should NOT be able to just create a new profile with the same ID. Also all the escorts need a separate category - any "regular" guy who asks if we're "generous" is an escort. The word "generous" if used should generate a pop-up warning. Provide a density proof like cash app where you take a picture of the photo of the person or a picture of themselves that way you know people are safe on the app.

Fake account
To get rid of fake accounts, the application should require verification with a video and additionally a photo, and only then create an account for the user. There is such a thing as being verified on tinder.
